we have a bbb reservations and then ariels grotto for dinner. they are doing the princess chest and cake then

are there any other special things i can do for her birthday while we are there

You can do the birthday celebration at Plaza Inn. You each get to decorate a small cake and get birthday hats and punch. Pat E. Cake is the host and Minnie and Mickey make an appearance. We went in 2004 when it was around $10 per person, I believe it's up to 15.99 now.

Yep. My sister said that they used to give stickers before. I got mine from the valet when we first arrived.

We spent DS's 4th and 5th birthdays at DLR. Honestly, what you already have planned would have been more than enough for him. He loves his b'day but feels that enough is enough after not all that much (except for presents, he'd open presents all day if he could).

FYI the princess chest cake it TINY. And the bakery that makes the cakes told the manager at Wine Country Trattoria (who asked them the ingredients for me) said that it's sugar free, which makes me say "wha????". Just not into sugar-free cakes, and the chemicals that normally means, especially for kids. We opted to NOT get it for DS because of that. (and went to Haagen Dasz instead, yum)



That said, do get the Happy Birthday button (from just about any CM, and if you haven't gotten one by the Grotto meal, they'll likely have one there for her) and tour the Tortilla Factory. If the CMs there see her button, she should get a packet of tortillas instead of just the one-per-person you usually get.

Don't forget about the birthday phone call. Just ask a CM inside City Hall when you pick up the button. Word to the wise. Have your camera ready when your child picks up the phone.
