Birthdays/anniversaries while in WDW...

My DH and I will be celebrating our anniversary while we are on our July trip to WDW. I know that they do something special for birthdays, but do they do anything for anniversaries? Where do you have to go, etc??? I'd love to be able to "embarass" DH a little on our special day!

The answer is sometimes. Personally, we have gone to WDW (in the past 6 yrs) for 4 birthdays and 2 anniversaries. We have never had our anniversary recognized in any way, and 2 of the birthday trips there was a card/balloon put in the room. That's it. Oh wait, we also mentioned the occasions at ONE TS ADR per trip (the actual day)...there was usually a cupcake for the birthday person, but never anything for the anniversary.

I am not sure, but it seems that them "doing something" for people celebrating special occasions is getting less.

Definitely look into ordering a special cake or something (that you pay for) on your actual anniversary....then you KNOW you'll be getting something special! Have a great trip!!!!!

Unless you pay for it they really don't do any thing "special" for birthdays or anniversaries. The waitstaff at a restaurant may sing happy ______ (fill in the blank) if they know, just like they do at the Olive garden but that's about it. They use to give the kids a "its my birthday" button at the MK but again all that really gets you is a "Happy birthday" from the CM's. If you want a cake or any thing else you pay.
We gave my dh an illuminations cruise for his bday. The driver made it very special but it ran $250 bucks.

We always go to Disney in Dec and usually over my wifes b day so our celebration is going to Beeches & Cream after we have dinner for icecream and singing.

Anniversary: a button and a couple of "happy anniversaries"

Birthday: I just celebrated my birthday there the end of April. It was great. I got the birthday button, a ton of birthday wishes. The Dapper Dan's sang "Happy birthday" to me on Main Street, we went to dinner at Chef Mickey's. I got a birthday cupcake and a visit from Donald. I got a couple of ballons and a birthday card from Mickey and a "special" phone call. It was the most fun. I also got a free large diet coke when we went to play mini golf because I was wearing my birthday button.
