Hi there, I hope you can help me: I'm kind of new at the whole message board thing, but I wanted a bit of advice.

My DGF and I are going on our second WDW trip this November, and while we're there she turns 28. Her birthday is on a sunday and the parks are expected to be pretty packed and we're hoping to have a relaxed day and then go to a Christmas Party at night...

All lovely, and that's what she'd like but I want to do something nice for her to let her know I think she's special, but I don't know what can be done for an adult's birthday at WDW. Any thoughts? Have any of you tried something that's been brilliant?

Thanks in advance for any ideas you can give me :)

what sweet thing you want to do.
if you go to
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/give-a-gift/ you can see a bunch of things you can give her related to Disney. if you're staying on property they'll deliver it to your room. if not, some things can be delivered to your residence and you can give it to her there.

good luck and have a great time!

If you are staying on property make sure you have on your reservation that your friend is celebrating a birthday. They will make sure she get her "birthday" pin to wear. You feel special when people are wishing you a happy birthday all day. The GF tea is a nice relaxing touch. How about resevations to a nice dinner.

We always celebrate my sister's anniversary at the castle and try to get a dinner hour which will coincide with the fireworks show. The view from the back of the castle windows is stupendous! Her husband proposed to her during the fireworks show at the backside of the castle so it is always a special place there when we return.

The food is reasonably good, the setting lovely and the fun is merry!

My SO is turning 34 while we're there. We're spending the day at Universal and then have dinner reservations at Shula's (my SO loves steak, and it's in our hotel). They'll have a birthday cake for him (as soon as I order it, lol). I thought about the richard petty driving experience for him, but it's $$$. I wanted to do Cirque du Soleil but they don't have any shows when we're there :(

If it were my birthday, I would love to visit one of the spas (Grand Floridian, Mandara, and I forget where the 3rd one is), plus have a really nice dinner.

You could do the fireworks cruise, that would be sweet :lovestruc There's also the hot air balloon thing in downtown disney.

My DW planned a surprise for me from the guys at Gift of a Lifetime (I can't post links yet but google and ye shall find!)

It was kinda neat. :lovestruc

Do you know about Disney Florist? How about Memories by Betsy?

Good luck, come back and let us know what you pick!

the carriage rides at FW are very romantic. Watching the fireworks from the beach at the Poly or GF are also.

SSR has a very nice spa according to DD.
