We are leaving on Wednesday to spend DD's 26th birthday at SSR. Is it possible to have any special birthday surprises done? Maybe decorations, balloons? Would I call member services or call the front desk at the resort? Any ideas? pixiedust:

We have celebrated birthdays at OKW and BWV. When you check in tell them that you are celebrating a birthday. They usually bring balloons and a signed character picture. I say usually, because once they didn't and I have seen posts from others that requested them and they didn't get anything. Maybe one of the adults could stay back for a few while the others leave for the park and decorate the room. party:

I'm not sure what the resorts will do, but this past August my family and I went to Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. Before we were seated I asked the check-in cast member if I could have a candle put into our dessert (I brought along a 40 candle). The CM told me I could purchase a cake for $12.50 and they would bring it out. I was able to sneak the candle to our waitress and just before they served it staff members and the characters gathered around our table, ringing large bells and singing. My brother-in-law almost died-it was too funny :rotfl2: (especially because his birthday was in May and we missed it so we wanted to make up for it). We also booked a pontoon boat from the Contemporary for 9pm and we sailed on the Seven Seas lagoon, watched the Electric Light Pageant and Wishes from the boat. It was awesome. When I booked the boat (which was $220 for about an hour) I told them it was for a birthday. When we got there the boat was decorated with a banner and balloons and a cake and drinks were on-board. Again another hysterical surprise. Good Luck in your planning-whatever you do it will be great.
