Birthday surprise suggestions

I am taking my DS (age 8) and my DD (age 6) without my DH to Disney arriving 6/21 (last day of school, picking them up at noon dismissal, going directly to the airport for our flight to MCO). We are staying at BWV for two night (have to visit my mom in Tampa after that) and we have a reservation at Arkshus for Friday night. My question--I want to make an ADR somewhere for Thursday night (somewhere at MGM maybe as we can walk from BWV but I am open to suggestions and without a car) and it is both of their birthdays within a week after we return home from WDW. Where would you suggest for dinner Thurs night and what does Disney do, if anything, for birthdays? Thanks.

One of my DS5's favorite places to eat at MGM is Sci-Fi Dine-IN. He absolutely loved it. With 3 of you you should be able to sit in a car, and you could let both of the kids sit in the front seat. They'll get Driver's Licenses, can watch the movies, and just have a great time.

As far as what Disney will do for their birthdays. All you have to do is let them know that both of the kids are celebrating when you make your reservation, and again when you check into the restaurant and they usually do something. Like a free birthday desert. Here's the one we got at Boma last week for DS's 5th Birthday!!

Usually the resort will bring balloons and Mickey pictures if you let them know that there are birthday's being celebrated. We celebrated my DD11's birthday there last week. She got the birthday button from MK, a phone call from Goofy, and various other trinkets. CM's were very nice in the restaurants with free desserts and singing.
