Birthday stateroom decorations

does anyone have a picture of the birthday decorations DCL sells?....What did you like about it?

We purchased the birthday decoration package. It was very cute. And the cake was waaaay more than we could eat.

Was it expensive? Yeah. But convenient.

You could pack your own and really make quite a show for less money. Or not worry about it just let DCL take care of it

I'd post my pics but I don't have enough of a track record to post pictures yet.

We recieved a Happy Birthday banner(the kind that's jointed letters), 2 or 3 whirly gig type things that hangs from the ceiling, a table top decoration, lots of mickey head confetti, a card with a picture of characters and signatures, the cake itself, and balloons taped to the wall in the shape of Mickey heads. And birthday buttons(not the enamel kind. The circular kind).

Wow that sure beats what we got when we ordered it! We had one banner hung up that said happy birthday, one whirly thing in the ceiling over the couch and a cake and that was it! Yours sounds like you had much more!!

Same for us when we sailed last April. Apparently they improved the birthday package since then. Maybe you got the new one hktmom , when did you order it ?

The biggest downside to the birthday decorations is that they are put up before you board (or at least they used to be!). I brought my own from home along with a roll of tape, and put it up on DD's birthday.

The best thing I did was to decorate the outside of the door in pink and purple (DD hates pink)! She was turning 13. Many of the little princesses who saw the decorations wished her a happy birthday....lots of "are you the birthday girl?", etc. It made it extra special. We got the cake and the round button pin in the dining room (that's free, add it to your ressie and be sure your head server knows).

Here is what we got for my daughters 13th birthday this past December!

The baskets on the bed where from The Perfect Gift, but the banner and thing hanging from the ceiling are Disney's.

The table center piece! The flower cake (again) was from The Perfect Gift! Shirley is WONDERFUL!!!!

I must say that it was very nice to not have to do anything and just have it there. My DS was quite pleasantly surprised!

Did Disney Cruise Line put all those signs on your door or just the Happy Birthday one at the top? We are going on a cruise over spring break this March for my son's 13th birthday also. We thought it would be neat to have the room decorated for him as an extra surprise. Any other suggestions?

Shirley really does such a wonderful job! My dd really was surprised by all the decorations and the cakes.... We also got her a cake from Disney which looked just like yours! This is what it looks like still wrapped! Since I didn't make door signs, the one they gave us was great, as well as the cc member one!

We didn't get that really super cute door magnet. But our cake was HUGE! It was a very large square. And our table top decoration was the kind that sits on that crepe paper circle fan thingy. Our Happy Birthday banner was letters but nothing was Disney character oriented.

I think this was when they had sold through their own decorations. This was likely an offering to get them through till their supplier fulfilled the new order.

I ordered mine in March/April of 06 for May 06.

Sounds like the new stuff (and looks like) is really cute.
