we will be celebrating a 6th bday on 12/13. Disney noted it in the reservations. Does anyone know what they do for the bday? Do they have a small cake for us at dinner? Or should I use the gift basket company to help with a cake?

My daughter celebrated her 10th birthday on our cruise last month. They brought out a small cake with a piece of white chocolate on top with the ship imprinted on the chocolate. They also sang to her and Mulan happened to be coming through and stopped by our table for pictures. It was really nice. We did it on our Animator's Palate night. Our head server asked us on the first night, which night we would like to celebrate it and we picked the AP night.

We celebrated my DS' 8th. birthday on the cruise and he too was given a cake on his birthday and a special BD pin. You might just want to mention to your server or head server about the BD to make sure they are up to speed.

just make sure and check with DCL to make sure they know of the birthday. then it will happen after you eat dinner and the fun begains. i hope you bring a camera. its great

One thing also to remember...we had ordered dessert and then out they came with the cake. We took it back to our stateroom, but it was mush by morning. You might want to talk to your head server and just have them bring the cake and forget ordering other desserts, so you can actually eat the cake at the table....
