When my family will be at DLP, we will be celebrating a birthday. :cake: Does DLP give out Disney Birthday pins like they do at Disneyworld in Florida? Hope this isn't a dumb question but there seem to be a lot of differences between WDW and DLP.:thanks:

I don't think they do unfortunately:sad2:

It was possible to get a Birthday pin at City Hall until a few years ago, then I think it was 2006 when they introduced a "Touche de Magie" which I believe left it to the CM's discretion at your hotel, you might get a pin or balloon, etc. However, I have never seen that advertised other than on a CM's blog although I do recall another CM confirming it on this forum.
I would say the best thing is to mention it at the hotel, they were extremely helpful when my DS celebrated his birthday there :)

Do you just mention it when you check in at the hotel? Or do you have them make a note of it when you first make your reservations?

I'm not opposed to paying for some services, just want to make friend's celebration special.

I telephoned the hotel Newport Bay Club direct, like yourself I was trying to find out if there was something I could pre order for my DS's birthday, I was hoping for a fruit or sweets hamper, cuddly toy or something to be in the room on arrival. Apparently DLRP don't have this type of service, but the CM I spoke to said he would note it in "the book" and could I ring back a day or two before arrival, in case it had been overlooked. I did, but the note was there as promised, when we got to the room there were lots of balloons, signed card, autograph book and pen and all free of charge, DS was over the moon and overawed by how they knew it was his Birthday.
I'm sure if you contact the hotel they'll do all they can to arrange something nice for your friend. :)

If it's a Birthday your friend's celebrating then I'd highly recommend a cake at one of the character meals. :thumbsup2 That was definately one of our most memorable moments. :goodvibes
