I am having my DD's 6th birthday at the local pizza place for 2 hours. I was wondering if I have enough to fill the time. I have some pizza coloring pages to do while we are waiting for everyone to arrive (10 kids) and for the pizza. Ok eat pizza, then decorate your own cupcake frosting and all. Eat cupcake ice cream. I have a foam craft project for them to do and it is a little complex so it could take some time. Then a good old game of pin the tail on the donkey. There will be no gifts to open because DD is having them bring a donation for the food bank instead. Any more ideas for fillers or so you think I am ok? THis is my first kid party.

I don't have any great advice for you other than in my experience, girls that age could color for hours, so that will keep them busy! Also, great idea for the Food Pantry, my daughter's birthday is in a week and I wish I would have done that! I am still trying to put the toys away from Christmas!

If you are worried, I just bought some color-your-own puzzles from Oriental Trading. This would keep them busy, but be a little different from a traditional coloring page, and you wouldn't need anything else than markers and crayons. Some kids will probably finish up the the foam craft quicker than others and this would keep them busy while they wait for everyone to finish. For the kids that are slower you can just give it to them to take home. If you don't use them, save it and use it next year!

Good Luck!

That is the reason why we came up with the food bank. She has so much and a huge family that the gifts tend to be overwhelming for her.
