Birthday Party at WDW

Has anyone ever done a birthday party at Disney? I am looking for suggestions for my DS who will be 4yo...

What about a character meal? Let them know when you book and they will decorate the table and present a cup cake to your child.. (places vary on what they will do.) Cheif Mickey does it up nice. You can also order a full cake though WDW but I don't have that #. Sure someone does.

Hi,
DH had a birthday while we were last in WDW. We were staying at OKW, and I called ahead and ordered a Mickey Mouse cake, and it was delivered to our room. Not sure where you are staying, but if on site, call your hotel and inquire about a cake etc..

Thanks so much for the ideas! I am going to give a call to some of the restraunts and try to get more info. We want to invite a couple of friends so the character meal might work well for us.

If anyone has some other ideas I would love to hear them!

We celebrated my DS's 3rd birthday at Crystal Palace with Pooh. We were staying concierge so I let them order the cake and it was great! CP decorated the table with Mickey shaped confetti and little streamers. I also brought Pooh party hats with me. Tigger was really wonderful. I've got a great photo of him in a party hat.

Don't forget to get a birthday pin at City Hall. I also mentioned to a lot of characters that it was his birthday and some of them wrote a birthday message in his autograph book.
