Birthday & MK parade

We will be at the MK on my daughter's birthday this year. A friend told me they will let birthday children & their families ride in the MK parade. Dies anyone know if this is true and if so how do you get picked?

They choose a family but I didn't think it was because of birthdays. I thought it was random. How would they know who really has a birthday?

I've never heard of this before. I think they just choose random families.

Sorry, but that's not the standard practice for choosing guest parade-riders.

Nope. Birthday people don't have a better shot at parade participation than anyone else. My dd celebrated her 6th and 13th birthdays at WDW....on the actual date. Anything special that happened, I provided. With do many people celebrating birthdays at WDW, Disney would be hard pressed to be fair and do something special for everyone!
