Last week I ordered a sleigh with white chocolate dipped strawberries from the GF conceirge. I gave them my credit card info and was assured it will be in the room upon our arrival. I received a call today from the concierge desk (we arrive on 12/14) to see if there was anything else I needed. My sleigh was on the list so I'm hopeful it will all workout.
I think it's key to be specific. I had read about chocolate Mickey's and slippers but now that I think about it I'm not sure about the sleigh. (Maybe that's why the concierge had to call and see if it could be done?) In any case you really have to tell them exactly what you want especially if you are going to pay for it. Also, I try never to tell the kids about "surprises" unless I'm sure they will come to pass. After the first request not being fulfilled I wouldn't have said anything.

That cake would have been sent right back had I received it! I'm a dessert devotee so there is no way I would have tolerated a stale cake. I would have taken it down to the front desk and ask the first available CM to try to cut it.
