Birthday in WDW

I just got back today from my birthday trip. We arrived last Friday night, then hit MK Saturday morning which was my actual birthday (34th). I got my button at Guest Relations right outside MK. The CM there wrote my name on it and I wore it every day. I saw LOTS of other guests also wearing them.

I would guess around 100 different CM's wished me Happy Birthday, just in passing. Also, on a very crowded bus from POFQ to Epcot, the bus driver had noticed my pin and made everyone on the bus sing Happy Birthday to me.

I don't think the birthday was on my reservation, so I didn't get anything in my room. I did, however, gets lots of stuff "free" which was completely unsolicited.

1. Brownie from Casey's at MK
2. ice cream from CM at AK
3. Table of the Day at Le Cellier with a card signed by CM's
4. another card signed by CM's at Boma and a small dessert on a plate with "Happy Birthday" written in vanilla sauce

It was a very special week. DD was VERY jealous. Too bad she's in school for her birthday!

I also saw lots of other buttons everywhere for anniversaries, just married's and 1st visits. So if you're celebrating something special, be sure to get your button and enjoy!

Does any one know if you are staying at Shades of Green (as we are), whether they will give you an "official" birthday button too?

I'm thinking not, but...
