So, after another fantastic holiday at WDW (12th August to 26th August @ CSR), next years has been booked - despite me, the Disney nut telling OH not to bother (I think he is a Disney nut too just won't admit it... bangs on constantly about there is a whole world to see, yet keeps booking trips to WDW).

Anyway, looking at dates we have booked from 20th August, to the 3rd September, at CSR again (we fell in love). Meaning, I'll be in Disney on my actual birthday - 31st August.

Needless to say that this will be the best birthday ever, and I just had to share my excitement. Waking up in Disney on your birthday! What more could you want?

Question is now; what to do on that day. We have QSDP but I'll book a restaurant I think - though I have no idea where....

Eeek.

What special things have you done on your birthday at Disney?

How lovely!! We'll be at CSR 15th-29th August next year (11 months today!) and my birthday is the day after yours. I'd love to be there for it, but I work in a school and that is the first day of term over here in the UK! (We'll be celebrating a couple of days early instead!)

Looking forward to hearing what others have done for their birthdays!

DD doesn't go back till the 5th, so we land on Sunday (early hours) and she has to go to school the next day... can see her being VERY tired...

I chose Disney to celebrate my 60th birthday, coming up on 22 January 2016. My son and his partner are coming with my DH and I from Australia and my other son and his wife who live in New York will be meeting us there.
We will be having dinner at the Yachtsman followed by an Illuminations cruise on the day.

To say I am excited is a gross understatement!!!!

You share a birthday with me!

I took a trip to WDW in 2010 which included my 29th birthday on the 31st August. I wore a birthday badge all day and had dinner at Cinderella's. There was just the three of us, all adults and we had a great dinner. I got a cupcake with a candle after dessert. It was great having a Birthday in the Magic Kingdom and we really enjoyed CRT.
I also remember going to buy a bottle of Sprite and the CM told me that Mickey heard its my birthday and the drinks on him!

There were balloons and a card (from Mickey) in out hotel room, but this may have been requested by my partner, but they were a nice surprise.

I would definitely treat yourself to a sit down dinner if you're doing quick service all week ~ pick a favorite place :-)

I spent the week of my 60th Birthday at WDW and it was the best birthday I have ever had. First, get the "It's my Birthday" pin. Having hundreds wish you a Happy Birthday is a thrill. Besides you never know when something magical is going to happen to you like cast members breaking out in song or a bus driver giving you gifts or getting a free pin or my favorite - our dinner at the Crystal Palace. I had gone up to get another plate of food and my wife had informed our waiter that I had turned 60 that day. I got back to my table and suddenly there was an announcement "attention everyone, we are pleased to announce that a certain young man is celebrating his 60th Birthday today. Let's all congratulate Peter as he walks though the restaurant in his own special parade." Immediately I was surrounded by all the characters and off on my own parade around the restaurant we went. I then got a card signed by the characters and a cake with a candle lit. What a thrill. Like I said, you never know what is going to happen next. Best birthday I ever had.

I'm celebrating my 40th at MK this year and we're doing all my favorite things - pre-opening breakfast at Crystal Palace (Eeyore's my favorite), dinner at BOG (Beast is one of my favorite princes), staying late for MVMCP (Christmas is my favorite holiday). So I say for your special day, make it all about YOU! LOL It's the one time of year you can get away with it!

My husband and I have birthday a couple of days apart and we're going to be at DW for BOTH! we are having a special dinner at V & A Chef's table that night to celebrate! We have been to both Disney Land and Disney World on our birthdays before and our anniversary,.....certainly DO get your Birthday pins! it's so much fun when people you don't know just say Happy Birthday to you and cast members can really make things special! to all of you out there having birthdays coming up between now and next year...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
