We are planning our first DVC vacation this November at BWV. We are so excited!!! My son is turning 8 on our arrival day - we have ADR's at 1900 Park Fare for the next night. We will also be visiting the parks (of course) but having some down time as well. (We have been to WDW a couple of times, just have never been as owners of DVC - AKL)

I would love any ideas to make this one special (he turns 8 on Nov. 8, 2008!!). :dance3: Thanks in advance!!

I think that I would make sure to pick up a birthday button at the front desk when checking in and then head over to Beaches & Cream for a birthday "dinner" -- making sure to order the Kitchen Sink!! (Hamburgers, hotdogs and fries optional!) Always a fun thing to order, but the B&C staff really go overboard when it is for a birthday. I think an 8 year old would really get a kick out of it!!

Thanks so much!! Sounds great - I wouldn't have to make an ADR for B&C, would I?? I'm so excited now!! I'll have to look up what all is in a "Kitchen Sink"!!

When we were there in August celebrating two birthdays, I asked the front desk if it was possible to have balloons brought to our room as a surprise. When we returned from dinner that evening there were balloons and a autograph photo of one of the characters. My guys were so excited. We were staying at the BCV on pts. Just an idea.
