We are visiting Florida for the 4th time in July this year. This will be the first time that our visit coincides with our 10 year old daughters birthday. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside and really want to make this day extra special. Does anybody have any brilliant ideas as to what we could do that would be a little different. We have had breakfast in the castle on our previous visits and we all really enjoy that experience, but would like to try something that we haven't done before.

Princess storybook or tea party?
wishes or illuminations cruise?
hot air balloon ride?
sky venture?
a day in the new bibbidi bobbidi boutique?

Our son had his Birthday last year at Chef Mickey's and he loved it. He was 7 (so I realise a bit younger than your daughter) but there were other older kids also celebrating birthdays and they were having just as much fun as him.

It was my daughters birthday when we were there last year, we went to MK and called into Guest Services where they gave her a special birthday badge, nearly every cast member and every character gave her extra special attention because she had a birthday badge on, she also got given loads of free stickers and candy from around the shops at the park. When we got back to our room there was a bunch of balloons and a signed photo of Donald Duck waiting for her. We also got to ride up at the front of the monorail thanks to her birthday badge, although I know you can request that at any time if there is room available.

Hi

It is a few years back now, we were staying at Dixi Landings now renamed Port Orleans Riverside. We went to the reception desk and asked if it would be possible to order my daughter a birthday cake. They took all the details and said they would have one delivered to our room on her birthday.

We were up and out early on her birthday for a charchter breakfast at 1900 Parkfare and then spent the whole day just doing whatever she wanted. Finally returned to the room that evening to find it decorated with balloons, a signed birthday card from Minnie and Mickey and the biggest birthday cake she had ever seen. They had even supplied plates and forks. Poor duaghter was so exhausted after her eventfull day she only managed a mouthfull of cake before she was fast asleep.

Next day went down to reception to thank them and pay the bill. They replied 'there is no charge, you're welcome'.
