Birthday @ HH

My DD will turn 11 when we are in HH in August. Aside from the normal birthday things (cake, dinner), is there anything we can get HH to do for her? I am not looking for handouts, I just wanted ideas on something special for her. Lord knows when she is in the teens time I don't know if I will want to do the same

Let the front desk know and they will put a happy birthday message on the resort channel(tv) on her birthday. My son also recieved balloons and a birthday card signed by Mickey and Minnie.

My DD turned 11 while we were there also, and they put her name on the TV (resort channel) and delivered ballons with a card signed by Minnie (Mickey must have been out fishing!). She thought it was pretty cool. Just let the front desk know.

We asked her if there was something she wanted to do like kayak, horseback ride, etc and she said she wanted to go Juliette Low's house (Girl Scout founder) in Savannah and then to the beach and pool, so that's what we did.

I feel bad for my youngest DD. This year, we spent oldest DD's birthday at HH, will spend DH's at WDW next month, and mine at WDW over New Year's. Poor Katie just gets her regular birthday party at home. I'll have to come up with something really special for her.

We'll be spending our DS8 9th birthday at WDW. Guess what type of request I've already heard from DS3 -- you got it -- he wants to spend his birthday at WDW too. Such a shame, we'll probably have to return to WDW in February to celebrate his #4. How can I turn down a request like that?? Ahhh, the benefits of DVC!

Unfortunately, youngest DD's birthday is Dec 12 and we'll be down there Dec 31. They just opened a Great Wolf lodge about 30 minutes from our house. It has an indoor waterpark inside the hotel, I think we may be spending a weekend in December here!

Although if there was any way we could do a quickie trip before Christmas, I would!
