I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS IF THERE ARE ANY SPECIAL "PERKS" AT DISNEY FOR SOMEONE CELEBRATING THEIR BIRTHDAY? MY DAUGHTER WILL BE CELEBRATING HER 8TH B-DAY DURING OUR STAY AT WILDERNESS LODGE 6-23-05. IS THERE ANYTHING SPECIAL I CAN PLAN? THANKS
princess:

Be sure to get a birthday badge/button at any of the theme parks, and make sure the CM see it!!! Have fun and a great trip~!

Our DD turned 7 during our trip. Don't wait until the day of her birthday to get the birthday button, get one for every park and wear them everyday. The CM's go out of there way to say Happy Birthday, and even the characters in the parade will sometimes come over and shake hands. My DD was so happy when Belle mouthed it to her from on top of the float during the parade. They are told to look out for those buttons, that's for sure.
She even got a couple of free pins from CM's because they saw her button. Don't feel weird about wearing it every day either. Toward the end of our trip CM's were still saying it and I would tell them that her birthday was a couple of days ago and they all said, "Everyday is your birthday at Disney, so enjoy it!"
Go and have a great time!

We just got back a couple of weeks ago from a special 5th birthday trip for dd. We got the birthday buttons, but make sure to mention it when making your reservation and also at check in. We stayed at the WL also, and when we got up to our room, there was an autographed photo birthday card and balloons for dd. Also, we had breakfast at Whispering Canyon, everyone sang Happy Birthday to her and she got a free cake!

We were at Disney last year for my dd's 7th birthday. I mentioned it when making reservations at GF. Not only did they send her balloons, candy and autographed pictures they also sent autographed character pictures and candy for my other dd and ds. She wore her button every day at the parks and most restaurants gave her a cupcake and sang Happy Birthday to her. She even was given a few fastpast like coupons for any ride that day at that park to go to the fastpass line. It was so wonderful that this year we are going for ds's 5th birthday!

We are going to be at Disney for my DD 6th B-day this year. We are both very excited.

We always go during My DD 7 Birthday and she loves it. Each Park has a different birthday button so we get all of those she has a hat that says birthday Princess which gets alot of attencion. She was pulled into the parade both years but this past was the best because before the parade at MK this like traveling salesman brought her into the middle of the lparade lines and did his 15 minute act about her. So Funny. Also At charater meals they bring out a signed card and a cupcake. If you get any PS mahe sure you tell them so that they note it. Also at resorts if noted on reservation they will leave something in there room as well.

We are going back to Disney in May and my daughter will turn 8 while we are there. Is there someplace special in each park to get the birthday buttons? Thanks for the advice!

MK its in Town hall. I forget the other ones but they are right by the entrance once you get inside.

Also my Nephew got his from the ticket window outside the turnsiles to the entrance to MK.

I'm turning 28 on Valentine's Day and I will be at the World. Do you think that is too old to want EVERYONE at Disney World to know so they'll make a big deal out of it? I'm such a kid at heart - kind of pitiful isn't it?! ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

You are never too old!! Especially at 28. I celebrated my 30th at WDW in Sept. 1995 and back then they had a special birthday event at the MK. My DH, DD and myself went. We got buttons, a cake, and then got a ride down mainstreet in one of the double decker buses full of characters. Everyone's had a sign on their table that said their name and age....like Hi! My name is Lori and I'm 30 today" and even the cake had the correct number of candles blazing away. Most of the group were "real" kids (as opposed to "grownup kids") but their was one man who was turning 40 something. I will be there this September for my 40th birthday and you better believe I will enjoy every minute of it! Where better to celebrate my 40th! I can't wait. Have a great time and get all the buttons you can! :earboy2:

We are going down for our DD's 5th birthday next year. Her actual b-day is Feb 15th but we are going the last week of January. Is it wrong for us to get the buttons, etc. for her? The trip is for her birthday just not on her birthday.

We were there in 2003 for DS and other DD's birthdays and they had a great time. DD7 got a birthday pin from one of the CM's. We got lots of birthday wishes and stickers. At Crystal Palace they each got a cupcake and birthday card signed by the Pooh Characters. They did a parade through the restaurant w/ everyone celebration b-days. My other DD also got a card and cupcake even though it wasn't her b-day. The kids put their cards on the table in our room and the next day when we came back mousekeeping had left a birthday card for them as well.

There is nothing more magical than a birthday at Disney World. Unfortunately our little princess's princess: birthday is at a time when we just aren't willing to go to WDW.

My daughter and I got a lot of "happy birthday"s from cast members (we have the same birthday). We also got a free dessert at Cosmic Ray's. Other than that, we didn't get anything real special.

This was our experience as well. Ds's birthday is two days before mine, and we were both celebrating "big" birthdays. I didn't tell anyone at check-in, but I know that it was noted on the reservation. Also, we only wore the birthday button on our actual birthdays.

We had great birthdays there! I just don't want you to get expectations up and then feel disappointed. We didn't have any expectations going in. It is amazing the number of birthday buttons you see in the parks as well as the numbers of people on honeymoons, celebrating anniversaries, etc.
