Has anyone taken the birthday fireworks cruise? Is is worth it?

Hello and WELCOME to the DIS!

I haven't taken a cruise but it sounds nice if you can afford it. If it's sorta straining the budget I think there might be cheaper things to do.You could have dinner at the California Grill and see the MK fireworks from there.Eat at the Rose and Crown at Epcot and see Illuminatuons form your outdoor table.Disney is also pretty good about treating you special if you mention it's your birthday at one of their restaurants.

Hi! We took the Illuminations birthday cruise last June. It was great! They decorated the boat with balloons and a Happy Birthday banner. They also had a cake from The Boardwalk Bakery. It was delicious! However you can do this all yourself for 100.00 less, plus the cost of the cake. That's what we are doing this year. We booked an Illuminations cruise and we'll take our own cake. Hope this helps!
