I love Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Check out the menu at AllEars.net.

For offsite, I have heard good things about Texas de Brasil but have never been.

We really like Trails End Buffeteria. Nice mix of "home cooked" foods for the pickier eater.

Also, while it's not a buffet, if you end up in a park, Liberty Tree Tavern at MK is really awesome! The food is family style and you can eat as much as you like. They come around and refill plates.

Not a buffet, exactly, but the Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL has a good AYCE skillet meal that I thought was pretty good. Great atmosphere, too, and I'm sure they'd really make a big deal over it being his 50th birthday.

We've also eaten at the Cape May Cafe at Beach Club a few times and enjoyed it. Dinner is a seafood buffet, but they have non-seafood offerings on the buffet (like roast beef) and terrific desserts. It's always nice to walk around the Boardwalk after dinner, too.

A lot of people like 'Ohana at the Poly - served AYCE family-style - for dinner, although we've never tried it.

Budget-wise, I think most of the dinners are going to be in the same ballpark, but I often check pricing on allearsnet.com.

Cape May if you like Seafood
Boma if you want to try some new things
