Headed to WDW in early Dec 2019 to celebrate my wife’s 30th with two or three days at the parks and then a four night cruise on the Dream. Ideas for celebrating her birthday in the parks besides the birthday button? Am hoping we can make it to a Trader Sam’s (Have never been before). Am waiting for dates for MVMCP and may consider doing that. I really want to make this one memorable for her!

In the parks, you can order custom cakes to be delivered to some restaurants and some restaurants have their own specialty desserts you can order. If interested, you may want to check out the cake thread on these boards for a ton of info. If you do MVMCP, perhaps consider doing one of the dessert parties. We just did the MNSSHP dessert party with the seated terrace viewing and really enjoyed it!

Not sure about the parks but the resort did a really nice job. When I took my daughter for her sixteen birthday in January we stayed at Poly and they presented her with the most lovely fresh leis when we checked in really kicked off the trip. We then went to an Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian and did some extra stuff for her birthday with the dessert. At most of the resort restaurants they did something nice for her while she wore the button.

I’ve been there on my birthday more than once and the hotel did nothing. If you make an ADR for a restaurant and tell them on the phone that it will be someone’s birthday, they might bring you a cupcake.

Not sure what your budget is, but I recommend Lunch with An Imagineer if she's a big Disney fan who likes to find out about the Behind the Scene. We had lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby ( 3 courses ) in a private room. Our group was a party of 8 but it can be as many as 16 I think. Essentially, you have lunch with an Imagineer who shares with you their experiences working with Disney. They also share the projects they have worked on. It's important to note, they will not share projects they are currently working on that are not open to guest yet ( like Star Ways Galaxy ).

Another fun option is a dessert party. There are several out there for fireworks and a few for Illuminations.

We are celebrating my husband's bday this november at Disney. We're doing dapper day which he always wanted to do and MVMCP, it will be our first visit for both of those.

I also bought tix for the after fireworks dessert party at MK, that's a surprise he doesn't know about yet and ordered a cake for his bday dinner. Beyond that, some other nice ideas you may want to consider based on what she likes-

A special tour at one of the parks, horseback riding at Fort Wilderness, an in room celebration (you can order cake or other goodies to your room), a spa package??

For my birthday this summer, I'm doing 3 nights at the Poly (hitting two dreams...being at Disney for my birthday AND staying at the Poly) before the 5-night Double Dip on the Dream. I'm debating what I want to do special to celebrate... For me right now Dining With An Animal Specialist is in the lead. Possibly Wild Africa Trek. (Animal Kingdom is really my favorite park) But I've still got a few months to play and figure things out.

Depends on what she is interested in! and your price limit! You could do a surprise for her with Disney Florist. I have done the Halloween package and the Welcome package and enjoyed both of them! Or do your own surprise with one of the backstage passes! For my birthday I wanted to do the Backstage Tour at MK and did it with my mom. I enjoyed it! Doing a special dinner somewhere! There are so many things that you could do.

My family once took an Illuminations Celebration Cruise on my daughter's birthday. I had preordered a beautiful cake which was delivered to the boat right before our departure from the dock. The boat was decorated with balloons, banner, etc. I highly recommend!
