We will be celebrating my DD 8th birthday at Disney Feb 27th. We are staying for 8 nights and it will be a complete surprise for her, she has no idea. We told her we could not afford our annual trip to Disney this year. I want to know how easy it will be to get her a cake. We will be eating dinner at The Plaza Restaurant in MK on that day and would like to get her a cake. What is the process for this? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also I need something small because it will be just 3 of us, me, DH, and DD. :goodvibes

Disney has a special cake hotline ( and thread on the boards) I believe at the Plaza the only cake they have to offer is a mickey sheet cake. There is a charge for this cake. The last time I went they were still giving kids cupcakes free of charge ( my last trip was in may 2011) I don't know if they still do this.
When DD turned 3 we had dinner for her at the Ohana and special cake made for her with 3 princess wrapped in Pink fondant and a white chocolate Cinderella slipper on top. The cost was 80 dollars I believe and I had to speak to a cake specialist. They only offer these types of cakes at certain resorts. I think the mickey sheet cake is like 16 dollars.

A Birthday at WDW is a wonderful way to spend the special day ! My DD does it often.. her birthday is in April and we always plan our vacation for spring break. Lucky her.
