We are going to Ft. Wilderness the end of this month for my dd b-day and was wondering if anyone knew where I could pick up an inexpensive cake there so i don't have to take one with me and worry about it being dried out and ruined by the time we eat it. TAI

Definitely not inexpensive

Small decorated cakes (measuring 6"-8", to serve 4-8 people) in chocolate or vanilla can be delivered to your room at any of the Disney Deluxe Resorts. The cost starts at $25 plus tax. The Grand Floridian offers more elaborate cakes at higher prices. Simply call In-Room Dining (room service) from your room phone after arrival.
*

Small non-personalized decorated cakes (measuring 6", to serve 4-6 people) can be arranged on arrival at all Disney World resort table-service restaurants. Simply ask when you check in at the podium. The cost is $25 plus tax.

Personalized decorated cakes can be pre ordered to be served after your meal at most Disney World resort table-service restaurants. The cost is $25 plus tax for a 6" cake (serves 4), $30 plus tax for an 8" cake (serves about 8) or $45 plus tax for a 10" cake (serves about 16). Call (407) 827-2253 to make arrangements at least 48 hours in advance.

I'd go to Publix and get a cake.

I also just seen this.
Get the new SuperStar Barbie for $3.00 to celebrate Barbie's birthday!

Available at stores and online.

Couple Publix locations on HWY192. Great bakery and very reasonable price. Have a great Birthday Party.:cool1::banana:

Everyone is invited.....we will be there Mar 31- April 4.

I have decided to totally surprise the whole family and i am going to bake a cake at the campsite with a home made box oven. If you have never heard of this google it and be amazed!!:cool1:

I gotta say, that certainly is interesting, and fun. Have you ever done this before ?
If not, are you gonna do a trial run before you go to the Fort ?
I sure would like to know how it comes out for you,:thumbsup2

I have a Coleman camping oven and have used to bake cinnamon rolls and biscuits.

Once during a group camping trip someone asked me to get fixings to bake a BD cake for someone.

When thought about the investment in propane that I would need for a cake for 20 ppl, I decided to just buy a couple of dozen cup cakes.

We've used box ovens in Girl Scouts to bake cakes. My personal suggestion: use a strong flavor like a pineapple upside down cake. The flavor of charcoal can be absorbed by the cake.
