Our DS will turn 11 during our stay at PBH. Does Universal/Loews offer any special accommodations through which we can purchase a cake for the day of his birthday? Or, do you think I'm better off coordinating a cake at a restaurant for after dinner?

We celebrated one of our friends kids b'days at Mama Della's. We were staying at Hard Rock. They restaurant brought in balloons and gave the birthday boy a chef's hat and a special dance with Mama! It was very cute. They also gave a slice of cake to the b'day boy, but the rest of us bought dessert. I think if you are staying at Portofino, I would ask concierge to get a cake for the group.

We had a birthday cake for our DS 3rd b-day from room service at the Portofino delivered to our room. We ordered it the day before, we asked for vanilla with strawberries & "Happy Birthday". It was waiting for us when we got back from the park. It was for like for 8 people & it was delicious & lasted several days ! The best cake ever. They had birthday candles & covered the table with flowers it was a really pretty presentation. It came out to $50.

If anyone knows how I can post a pic I took a few & it's really quite nice. Let me know how to do it & I'll post the pix.
