Can you order something ahead of time, or bring one with you?

Is there another restuarant you'd recommend for ds's 6th b-day? (We're having a party before we go on our trip, so this will just be cake.) There will be 4 adults and 3 kids. It doesn't have to be on site. We're staying in a villa and visiting Universal too.

You can request a 6" cake upon arrival for your party, or you can call ahead of time and order a more custom cake - they have several choices. I don't have the number handy, but if you call Disney Dining, they can give you the number. There is also a thread started several weeks ago with all number for all the resort bakeries, etc.

The 6" cake is around $12.00. I ordered a special cake at GF for DD's birthday and it was $25 (and beyond awesome by the way!)

Thanks so much for the info. I'm having trouble with the search. I tried before posting, but I'll keep trying. Those prices are great!

I have the thread bookmarked... on the computer that I don't have right now. Disney Dining can give you the number. Tell them you want the bakery from Chef Mickey.

I have the thread bookmarked too. I knew my obsessive compulsive planning would come in handy some day. :lmao: Just click here

We ordered a cake ahead of time at CM. I called the Disney Dining number and they either forwarded me or gave a number to call. It was very easy!

Anyone have a picture of one of these?

We'll be celebrating DS's 7th bday in July at Chef Mickey's. It's been a hard year for your family and I'd like a special cake. Do they do any special cakes for boys? I'm thinking the GF cake was like a castle or something....

Any ideas?

Many thanks!

DD's cake at Grand Floridian 1900 Park Fare was all chocolate - choc cake, choc filling, choc icing. They also had a white/vanilla cake version - would be good for either boy or girl. This was a $25.00 cake that needed to be ordered in advance. I was only given these two options when I called. They also have the slipper dessert and I believe a dog bone for boys, but I don't know much about them. I think they do have a castle as well but that was not suggested to me either. This cake we had was AWESOME.
Check the link out that was in the previous post to yours, it has many pics of cakes, etc.

Thanks everyone!!!

Chef Mickey's was booked for breakfast and dinner except for 9 something for dinner which is too late for ds's little cousins so we're going to do the character breakfast at Ohana's. Stitch is ds's favorite, dh isn't crazy about buffets, and I made it late enough where we could still do the cake afterwards, so it works out!

I called to order the cake, and you can get a 6" cake for $12.50 that comes in vanilla only with a sugar disk on top with a Mickey on it. You order it at the podium when you arrive for your reservation, or you can order an 8" cake (at least 48 hours in advance) that comes in either chocolate or vanilla and it's decorated with flowers (probably Hawaiian flowers?) and personalized. I asked about getting a Lilo and Stitch cake and she said that I could do that on my own and bring it in...why do I always complicate things, LOL! I think it would be more of a surprise if it was at the table or brought out to us, so I'll probably go with their personalized one, and now I think we need balloons to go with it :goodvibes I'll be sure to take pictures of it.
