We are celebrating our daughter's birthday at HDD (her favorite). When I made the ADR, the CM gave me a phone number and said I can order a birthday cake. However, I just read someone's post here that said cakes at HDD are not really encouraged. Does this mean they don't/won't do it? I didn't know if anyone had any experience with this. Thank you.

Not done it at HDDR - but did it at LTT, and honestly I wouldnt bother again!! They have cupcakes for free that taste better - and the dessert at the family stlye servings are great - but when we ordered the Cake we didnt get the strawberry shortcake!! AND the cake wasnt worth it - it had been previously frozen, and by the time it got to us, it wasnt completely thawed, and the icing was falling off, and it was a vanilla cake, no personalization on it...

Celebrate with a birthday cake at a Grand Floridian restaurant, much better cakes!! And at 1900 Park Fair, you can pre order the cake, and the characters come around, Prince Charming danced with DD 9 - very magical!!

Thank you for replying eeyore45 - I thought this might be the case. I've never heard of anyone actually ordering a cake for HDD so I thought I'd ask.
