Birthday cake at AKL?

My DS is turning 4 on this trip to WDW and I was wondering if you could get a cake from AKL, something small, there is just 3 of us, and if so how much are they?

We celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday two years ago at the WL and we just mentioned it to the front desk and they had a cake delivered free of charge! I had read on the web that someone had told their front desk and they received balloons in the room and a card from Mickey. It probably differs from resort to resort but I am sure they would do something special.

Also don't forget to go to guest services in the park ... they will give your child a pin that says "Today is my birthday" and they will get a message from a character. I think my daughter picked up a service phone and spoke with a character. Many of the CMs went out of their way to speak to my daughter that day.

As well we had reservations at Tony's for a character breakfast and they brought a small cake free of charge.

Just another side note ... if you have never arranged a wake up call, do so and have your son answer! It is one of the characters on the phone! My girls love it.

No balloons at AKL but you can have a cake delivered !
It is so delish! A safari style cream filled yellow cake!



And DO get the Birthday button! It is so neat to be told "happy birthday" by all the CMs at WDW! just magical!

Here is a slightly different version of the same cake! (in my signature) As BT said, no balloons at AKL. They don't allow them at all so remember that when you are making purchases at the parks. Happy planning!
