Are there only specific places where you can have a cake?

Has anyone gotten one? Are they any good?

I've heard it can be about $100 - is this true?

Our DS will turn 7 during our trip next August, and we were thinking of doing a character dinner and having a cake.

But after the few little things I've heard, I'm not sure it's worth it.

Currently, I'm leaning more towards going to Ohana for breakfast that day, especially since he loves Stitch.

We'll be getting the free QS dining plan while there (staying at POP) and will pay OOP for for his birthday meal.

When you get to the restaurant, I think at most any restaurant you can order a special occasion cake for about $25 but it will not be a personalized cake. If you want a personalized or custom cake delivered to a restaurant, check this thread:

The first post has the information. Price will depend on the size and complexity of the cake you want.

I am not sure about the possibility of getting the non-custom-ordered cake at a breakfast.

We did the Mickey Mouse Head cake for my son and will be doing it again for our grandson in November. Everybody really enjoyed it. It was about $50 but it really was quite a treat and we were able to take it back to our room. The face plate was white chocolate. We could have ordered just a regular cake that was less expensive but Mickey really made it special.
