Birthday Buttons

Will CMs do stuff with people with buttons, or do need to have reservations?

If you mean things like free deserts at restaurants, etc., it all depends on the CM. I've seen it both ways. My DD got a desert with Happy Birthday written in chocolate and a card signed by the CMs at the restaurant simply because she was wearing the button. Others have posted that nothing special happened for them. If you really want to make sure something special happens, arrange it ahead of time.

When you make PS, or reservations, for meals, let them know that you are celebrating. The Birthday Buttons will help with spontaneous stuff, like getting sung to.

Last year my DGD wore her pin and several CMs wished her a happy birthday. In line at RnR, there was another boy ahead of us who also had a pin on. The CM called them both to the front of the line and had everyone around sing Happy Birthday. Another CM traded two for one Disney pin. Those were pretty special things to her, but nothing that would have needed reservations.

I celebrated my 31st birthday at Disney. I spent it at MK. For breakfast I got a dessert at Crystal palace, I think it was a cup cake. Lunch was at the castle and I got chocolate cake with sprinkles. They also decorated my table. Crystal palace I got a card signed by Pooh and the gang.

I got a couple pins during the day. One came with a magic moment card. I was also stopped by a cm and asked if anyone special had called me that day in the park. She made a quick phone call and I think I talked to Goofy (o.k. so it was a recording, still cool). During the parade someone on a float noticed my button, pointed to it and then jumped up and down. Lots and Lots of happy birthdays all day long.

Get the button and let them know when you make the ressie and again at check in to the restaurant that you have a birthday.
