Good evening!

We are surprising my younger brother for his birthday with a breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We arent going to be spending this vacation at any of the parks (saving that for the summer) But we wanted to get in a Disney meal and figured Chef Mickey's would be great for a birthday.

Anyhow, onto my question. :D
For the birthday pins, where can you get them out of the parks?? Anywhere in DTD? I am guessing they are free? And do you have to show them any identification that it's their birthday?
Any and all info is great!!!! :jumping4:

Each park, save for MGM, gives out a unique birthday button at their own Guest Relations office. Even DTD has a birthday button. We collected the entire set during our trip this past week -- the CMs happily gave them out without requesting any form of ID.

The EPCOT guest relations office is accessible from outside the park, as is the DS guest relations office (they give out the same button as at MK.) The guest relations office at DTD is near the Basin store.

So, they don't require ID? We plan to be at Disney for a week for my husband's 30th birthday, but we arrive the day of his birthday, and aren't planning on going to the parks that day, so as not to eat up a day's worth of admission. I'd like to get him at least one pin, and will be at DS our first morning.

His grandmother also might join us as a birthday surprise to him, and she will ironically turn 85 during the trip as well. Any problems getting two?

there is something magical about wearing that button on your birthday. i went for my birthday 3 years ago ( july 4th is my birthday). i got my pin in wdw near the entrance i cant remember where exactally. but while i was wearing it most cast members sang happy birthday to me as soon as they say it even if they were passing by. nd i got to go to the front of the line on alot of rides just because it was my brithday i felt very special!!

They do not require ID, and there's no problems with getting two.
