Birthday breakfast with lots of characters.......

hope i'm not being annoying on this board, i just have so many questions!

ok, if you had an 11 yo birthday girl who is a TOTAL tomboy (no ariels grotto for us!), which character breakfast would you pick? loud and crazy is ok!! its her bday....think chef mickeys.... lol good food and lots o characters!!

I voted for Goofy's because you said think Chef Mickey's, and in my opinion that is the one that most resembles it.

We love a late breakfast @ Minnie's ~ we always see the most characters there, and we've never visited with a princess @ Minnie's ~ I love that it's in the park.

I picked Goofy's...just because the food choices & activity are always a hit for our birthdays.

Minnie & Friend's has a ton of characters anytime we've gone, but it's a more laid back feel & the food has never been why we go to this one.

I have a feeling your daughter would probably enjoy Goofy's, Minnie's or even the new Surf's Up with Mickey the best (probably more so than Storytellers). Storytellers may be a little too quiet and laid back. Minnie & Friends definitely has the most characters - that is evident by all the photos we have seen in our character meal photo thread. Goofy's Kitchen has the most food, with the widest variety, and classic characters. But Goofy's also usually has a Princess or two mixed in with the fuzzy characters, so that may scare away your tomboy!!

At Goofy's, if you let them know it's her birthday, they will bring over a cupcake, maybe a Goofy's pin and sing a little hokey song.

I picked Goofy's - not because I love it, which I do, but because you mentioned Chef Mickey's, and from what I have heard, Goofy's is the most comparable to Chef Mickey's foodwise and atmosphere-wise. Otherwise, I would say if you want the most characters, Minnie & Friends has the most. If you think your daughter would prefer the sort of surf/beach theme, then Surf's Up with Mickey may be the better option.

My favorite isn't listed. We really enjoy Ariel's Grotto breakfast..lots of Princesses. (LOL! OK..i read too fast and missed the not liking Princess part..when you go online at work you sometimes skim...in that case I'd choose the Minnie one at Plaza Inn

I say GK because the characters there really pay special attention to those who are celebrating their birthdays. M&F does have the most characters but not all of them get to make it to every table, which was disappointing when I went.

I also have a tomboyish 11 year old and she is all about Chip n Dale so I voted for Storyteller's though it isn't loud and crazy.

I voted Minnies. We had by far the most characters at that breakfast compared to the other character meals. But you really won't go wrong with any of them. We loved Goofy's, Storyteller too, Mickeys at PCH Grill was ok but not as good as the others, but it's still good.

I am sure it will be a very special birthday whichever you choose

I asked my DD which her favorite breakfast would be for her birthday at Disneyland (we've been to all of them except mickey's but Lilo & Stich was her favorite) and she said definitely Goofy's Kitchen. I asked her why she said, "the food is the best and it's so much funner than the rest". She just turned 11 in march and is a total tomboy. I asked her if she liked seeing more characters at Minnie & friends and she still said Goofy's was funner w/ better food. She has celebrated a birthday @ Goofy's for dinner and they gave her a really big cool chocolate cupcake (in her words) and sang to her. I hopes this helps.

looks like goofys it is!! i was thinking breakfast....but now rethinking doing it for dinner. her bday falls on thanksgiving this year....so it will be a "2fer". thanksgiving dinner/bday dinner at goofys!! sounds good to me!

It will be a fantastic trip for you and your daughter - not only will it be her birthday and Thanksgiving, and you will have a fun time at Goofy's, BUT you will also be at DLR smack dab in the middle of the holiday season, and all the Christmas attractions, decorations, food, entertainment, etc. will be in full swing. The holidays add an extra element of magic to any DLR trip!!

Surf's Up! with Mickey at Paradise Pier was super fun this week!
We met Mickey, Minnie, Daisy Duck, Stitch & Pluto. Lots of fun Surf & HS musical dance stuff with the characters that my boys were really into. Great food for a late bfast/brunch.
Characters leave at 11am so I made a ps for 10am. It was only maybe 1/4 full. and cleared out even more so by the time we left it was really good!
Food was great for bfast imo - omelet station, mickey waffles & pancakes, bfast meats & yummy stuff. we didn't eat again until 7pm!
