Birthday Balloons in Room

Hey guys -

When we went to WDW 3 years ago, we had a little pixie dust in the room for our DS and his 1st birthday! :) It was a bunch of latex balloons with a card from Mickey.

We're going back this year to celebrate both his 4th bday and my MILs 83rd bday. I'd LOVE to have something like this in her room. She hasn't been there in over 20 years and this will probably be her last trip. And the only one with her grandson.

I looked at the celebration stuff online, but all I see are these special expensive arrangements with "stuff". I don't see just a latex balloon bouquet.

Does anyone know who I would talk to about ordering one of these? Certainly I'd expect to pay for it, but I just can't find it!

Thanks

The latex balloons with the card are given personally by the resorts themselves. They aren't something you can "order". However, you could probably put in a celebration and call the resort the day before your arrival to request it but it won't be guaranteed.

BUT... you could get a Mickey balloon delivered to your room by disneyflorist.com. Just a thought! :goodvibes

In the past, I just alerted the resort that we were celebrating a birthday. On birthday day, we returned to find balloons, card, lanyard and a voicemail message from Goofy. I don't know if this is still standard protocol since there is now the option of purchasing celebration packages.

Due to short staffing and costs, they have had to cut back on a lot of the little extras. If you place on your reservation that you are celebrating a birthday, you get a pin to wear around the parks/resorts and you do get a lot of attention. We got one for first timers a few years ago.

Also, if you are staying at AKL, you cannot have balloons in your room.

Your best bet to make sure you get what you want is to do it yourself. Please do not rely on getting extra magic each and every time. You can request all you want but getting something for free is not going to happen.

However, the OP said she would gladly pay for it. I would just pick up the phone and call the gift info number and ask to speak to someone about special occasions. Looks like the number is 407-WDW-GIFT. See what they can do.
