I posted a few of these questions on the dining board, but no one is responding ...

DD's birthday is at the end of June. We made ADRs for CRT on June 5. DD recently told me she wanted her birthday party at CRT. So ...

I was going to call Disney Dining to let them know we will be celebrating a birthday. I was going to purchase the pre-made $12 cake but after researching everyone said the free cupcake was better quality (and just the right amount for a little girl).

Is it going to be OK to celebrate her b-day 2 weeks early? We will not be celebrating anywhere else and no b-day button.

and

If I bring a "Birthday Girl" tiara and sash and leave it with our server, will they present it with the cupcake? I thought she would feel more "princessy" if they "crown" her. She thinks she's a princess already, so I thought this would make her feel extra special.

Thanks!

You know what, who cares if it's not technically her birhtday. Let her have her fun and no one but you will know it's not her birthday. Let her wear the button and get a few happy birthdays too. We just did my DD's birthday down there and she wore hers on several of the days. She got special birthday autographs and when we ate dinner at Chef Mickey's they even had Mickey at our table when we sang happy birthday. I think most of the character dining restaurants have characters come to the table for happy birthday.

I tend to agree about just let them do the cupcake for one simple reason. They have just eaten dinner and no one wants the cake. We ordered a specialty cake with a white chocolate castle and "pop-up" Cinderella and had it delivered to our room a few HOURS after dinner. After spending $50 on the cake only 1/4 of it got eaten, and we were a party of 11:confused3 . It was a fabulous cake and I don't regret getting it because she loved it, but if you don't want to have a cake with no one to eat it just do the cupcake. My understanding to is if you want a birthday cake they have a standard one you can just request when you get there, if you change your mind and want to have a cake. My DD got the cupcake at the restaurant and it was perfect for her and she was just as happy with it. She even shared it with her cousin.

With the tiara and sash, I am sure they would be happy to do that for you. One of the great things about Disney is they are willing to do just about anything to make you happy. Our waitress was even willing to ask if Mickey could bring our daughter her cupcake, even though she knew the answer would be no. She said it wouldn't hurt to ask, and the answer was no, but she tried. As long as the request is within reason I am sure they'll comply.

Have fun let and let her celebrate her birthday. I guarantee she will remember for a long time as one of her best birthdays. I know my DD will.

We are planning on celebrating dd's 7th bday and mine at CRT when we go in Oct.

Both of these pics are from the bday cake sticy thread on the restaurant board.

Lots of people go to WDW to celebrate special occasions but can't be there on the "exact" day. Of course, like any subject around here, there can be differing opinions on this. ;) But when you're in the restaurant, you don't have to specify when her exact birthday is, just that you're there to celebrate her birthday (and when you make your ADR just tell them you will be celebrating your DD's birthday). I agree with the cupcakes, they're fine (hardly get eaten anyway) and I'm sure they'll take out the gifts for you. Have a wonderful trip! And don't forget to get a birthday button! :wizard:
