Birthday at Tonys

My DH's birthday is Feb.11 and we do not arrive to WDW until Feb 15., can I still call that first day his "birthday"?
What sort of magical things happen on a birthday at the parks? I have PS for Tony's Town Square for that first night and I told them we would be celebrating a birthday. They gave me a phone number for the restaurant and told me to call 48 hours in advance to order a cake to be there for our party to celebrate.
Has anyone had a birthday dinner at Tony's? Do I need to get some kind of birthday pin for him before we go there. I know he'll be reluctant to the attention. Is there any way to plan something so it seemed like a surprise to all of us?

In March I tried to surprise my hubby with a birthday lunch at Tony's and we were very disappointed. The meal started out well - the hostess put mickey confetti all over our table & wished him a happy birthday. We went here for the chicken parmigiana that we'd had on previous trips & loved - and well, they didn't have it on the menu anymore. So we both tried something new - he didn't like his meal at all, and mine was just ok. The hostess told us when we arrived that hubby would receive a free dessert for his bday, so that was nice. Then when it came time to order dessert they only really had one option & hubby didn't like it (tiramisu, I think.) So, the waitress offered him some sort of frozen smoothie. It was good, but it came in a tiny child's cup & then she charged us $7 for it! We were very unhappy at this point - paid the check & left. We really don't plan on returning anytime soon. If you go - I hope you have a much better experience than we did.

Oh - your DH can get a birthday pin to wear for the day at city hall at MK. Hope this helps!
