Birthday at the parks

Our family is planning a suprise birthday trip for my DD (8). We will be at US/IOA from 6/25-6/30 and her birthday is on 6/26 - the first full day we are there (we plan on not telling her until we are driving to the airport!) I was wondering if either park recognizes birthdays. (For example, WDW has a giant pin and the kids can get recognized at differenet events during the day.) We have done WDW many times, but this is our first to US/IOA, so sorry if this question has been asked. Any help will be great!!!!

You can get a birthday sticker at Guest Services. I have been told that attractions would recognize it but I don't think that it is true because I wore a birthday sticker when I went on the day before my birthday. The only person that acknowledged it was one of the greeters at The Simpsons Ride and she just said happy birthday to me.

You didn't mention where you are staying, but we stayed at Royal Pacific for my son's 15th birthday last July and told the reservation desk. My son received a surprise gift basket with a Scooby Doo freezer mug, a stuffed Curious George doll, plenty of candy, including Skittles and candy bar. FREE!! That was truly a wonderful gift. To buy that in the gift shop would have been over $30.00. This made our stay memorable and are doing it again this year. We are staying at Hard Rock this time and wonder how they do birthdays! (We've only received balloons at Disney)...had to mention that.

I noticed your signature panel and it shows you staying at RP. Hope you have a great birthday. Let me know if they do the same for your child.

You can get a birthday sticker, but it does not stay on very well. Get a good button (you could use a WDW one) and put the sticker on that. That way it should last and be more prominent.
