Birthday at LTT

Hi Folks,

I just made PS for dinner on my grandaughter's 6th birthday. I was told that they decorate the table with Mickey Mouse confetti, they will announce her birthday, they will sing "Happy Birthday Patriot" to her and she will get a signed birthday card. I was also told that she would get a special cupcake or for an extra charge, a 6" birthday cake with a marzipan Mickey Mouse on it. It all sounds terrific and I'm wondering if anyone here has had the experience and what they thought of it.

If it not as good as it sounds, I still have some time to explore other options. Your opinions and experiences are welcomed.

We celebrated DS's first b-day at LTT. It was just as you described with Mickey confetti and cupcake. The confetti was already on the table when we were seated. The cupcake with one lit candle and the card were brought out by three CMs after our meal. The CMs came out ringing a handbell proclaiming to the entire room something to the effect of "hear ye hear ye, on this date ,<date stated> we have cause to celebrate young master <child's name> birthday. Join us in singing happy birthday...clapping...singing. That is the general idea. My DS loves watching himself on the DVD of that day so you'd think I'd have memorized the skit by now. I can watch more closely if you have a specific question.

We did my daughter's 8th birthday there and thought it was great. The food was good, and all the characters made a big deal of coming to our table. On our way in the park that morning, she got to talk to Goofy on the phone at Guest Services for him to wish her a happy birthday. DH talked to a CM at LTT, and they had Goofy come over and make a big show of remembering talking to her earlier that day. She was completely amazed!
