I had heard somewhere that if you had your birthday there that you receive something from disney ,can someone let me know if this is trueor not . I have 2 girls that are having birthdays will we are down in sept , and the my wife and I are having are 15th anniversary. I know that the resort will give you a button for them both . thanks for anyones responce

The cast members will wish you a happy birthday/anniversary but the "gifts" are optional.

When I celebrated by birthday in the parks in January a waitress brought me a freebie dessert, totally unexpected, and we enjoyed every morsel.

You will want to stop by Guest Services at the parks (City Hall at the MK) and pick up birthday and anniversary buttons. Let the hotel know...you never know what they might do.

The only thing that I know for certain that you will get for free are the buttons, Birthday and Anniversary.......Make sure you wear the buttons....you will have a little better chance of possibly getting a little pixie dust.....but don't get upset if you don't.

Wear the free buttons and great things big and small will happen! Not only do the CM's do a great job of making the person celebrating feel extra special just by talking to them, you are fairly likely to get a freebie here and there depending on how busy the day is. But as everyone else has said, don't be disappointed if nothing material is given to you. I went for my 21st (so very different from your daughters I'm sure, but it was non-alcoholic!) and just the conversations with the CM's alone made it my favorite birthday of all time!

My youngest just celebrated his 7th birthday there. We made sure to get the b'day button for him - so he got lots of birthday wishes from CMs, characters, and almost everyone else.

We had two TS reservations that day. At our Ohana breakfast, they had another button for him and a card signed by Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. It was made out personally to his name and is such a nice keepsake for him to have! They also brought him a cupcake with a candle in it and we all sang.

We had dinner at 50s PTC, where they also brought him a cupcake and made the dining room sing to him - the more off-key the better!

In our room, he got a signed photo of Mickey wishing him a happy birthday and also a phone call from Mickey and Minnie.

He was in heaven.
