Birthday at Cindy's

We will be celebrating a birthday at Cindy's next week. We are a large party (14) so sitting together will be difficult, but who do I speak to to request that we sit together and let them know that we are celebrating a birthday? Also, for those who have celebrated a birthday at CRT, what kind of experience did you have?

We will be celebrating my mother's 54th birthday on December 11. We have California Grill during fireworks planned for dinner (with Yachtmans Steakhouse as a backup).

I made PS for CRT at 12:35PM for lunch. I told the CM that it would be mom's birthday and she asked for her age and her name. We have never eaten at CRT. What can we expect in the way of food, atmosphere, and festivities? Also, my grandmother will be joining us and she uses an ECV....is there handicapped access?

We celebrated my DD's 11th birthday there last December. It was breakfast with the princesses, so it'll probably be a little different at lunch, but they put Mickey confetti and streamers on the table. They gave her a card and all the princesses signed it, and they brought her a chocolate cupcake (really a muffin) with vanilla icing and a candle on it. It was really nice.

We have eaten there twice for dinner and the food is very good. The atmosphere is wonderful! Also, they do have an elevator. Hope this helps!

They also do this for supper/dinner. For my husband's birthday last yeat they presented him with a certificate and a piece of wonderful cake!

It is hard to sit 14 together. You must tell them when you check in that you are willing to wait to be seated together. It could be up to 45 mins and they wont start looking for tables for you until ALL 14 people are there. It is up to 45 mins b/c the restaurant is small and we have no way of knowing how the tables will turn. What time is your seating? The best times to be sat together are the first seatings for each meal. Your going during a slow time, so sitting together should be easier. But just be prepared you might have to wait 45 mins, you might have no wait. (Can you tell I have been yelled at by several guests who didnt know this policy?) Also tell them at check in that is is your Mom's Bday and her name. They will put mickey confetti and streamers on your table and they should give her a magical moment certificate! Have fun!!

Also, my grandmother will be joining us and she uses an ECV....is there handicapped access?

Yes. There is an elevator (not a big one, but it does the trick) in the same area as the staircase. You should let them know when making PS and also when checking in that you have a wheelchair or ECV in your party. The seating area is 2 levels. The area closest to the windows is down a few steps from the area where the elevator lets you off. You will need to be seated in the top area since there are only steps to go down to the other area.
Also, the restrooms are located sort of halfway up the stairs in a landing area. The wheelchair/ecv accessible restroom is all the way downstairs in the waiting area. The hostess has a key to it - it's locked when not in use.

Just to update you, we had our birthday breakfast at Cindy's. When I checked in at the podium, the CM shook my hand and congratulated me on getting a PS for 14! I whispered to her that it was one of the kids birthdays and that we didn't mind waiting a little longer if we would be able to sit together. She said she couldn't guarantee anything, but she would do her best. 5 minutes later, we were sitting at 3 tables, all next to each other against the back wall and the table was decorated with pixie dust! The birthday girl got a cupcake at the end along with a card signed by everyone. Character intervention was great and the morning couldn't have been more perfect.l
