Birthday at character breakfast

We're having our breakfast at the Plaza Inn on my son's birthday. When I made the PS they put down that it was his birthday. I had debated having a cake, but it's too early in the morning for it and decided not to. Will they do anything special?

I was a bit disappointed about DS's B~day meal at Minnie's ~ I had mentioned it would be his B~day when I made the PS, my receipt said that it was my son's B~day and they did nothing.

During our December trip we celebrated both my daughter's 6th bday (Goofy's) and my mother's bday (Blue Bayou). When I made PS's, I had them note the bdays on each reservation. At BB, the server obviously didn't know. I told him early on, and he said they were going to bring out a dessert and sing happy bday, but he forgot until I reminded him again after we waited a very long time at the end.

For DD's, I ordered a birthday bucket at Goofy's, and a goody bag for each of my kids. They had a balloon too. Having those physical reminders in plain sight brought her a lot of attention from both the characters and the staff throughout the meal. They pulled a couple of characters and staff over for a birthday song. The birthday buckets come with a small cake, so you have something to put a candle on and blow out without an entire cake to be devoured.

Same thing happened to us at Goofy's Kitchen a couple of weeks ago. I guess you'll have to remind them over and over.

in the aftern oon at plaza inn they have a bday party. it was fun the cake was ok not grate but it was fun they raised the prices now i wouldnt go but we will do some special things for my sons bday. see about buying one the bday buckets they might have them there

Minnie's has a generic track that is played over the sound system of "Happy Birthday to You." Other than that, don't expect too much. Maybe an extra hug r two from the characters, but that's pretty much it.

Hmmm, if you want the birthday bucket, do you have to order that in advance? I have a shirt for my son for that day that say's it's his birthday, maybe that will help remind them.

Yep, us too at Goofy's for dinner last month. Who knows.

Do the birthday thing at the plaza inn I think they do it at 2pm and 4 pm.

You get birthday cakes and frost them and the birthday guy judges them everyone wins and then mickey and minnie come out they sing happy birthday and you dance and then eat your cake.

It is 15 bucks a person everyone makes a cake and gets a juice. It was a fun time.

We got the birthday bucket.....but I think the best thing I got were those Happy Birthday Mickey ears that she wore all day. While the birthday button was cool, it was hard for CM's to see I think since she is much shorter at only 5.

With the hat and the bucket, the characters pointed and "noticed" it a lot when they came around, but nothing special from any of the CM's.

But they still won't get him anything truly personalized for his birthday. Again, a hug or two extra perhaps from the characters, but there won't be a gaggle of servers coming over to sing to him. All the other Character meals do, but not at Minnie's breakfast at the Plaza Inn.

i loved the bday ears. i was looking for a way so that people would know just to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her all day. she was so cute about it too. she was so proud, but it was just too hard for people to see the button, so the ears did the trick.
