Mssocks (Pat) is coming over to the uk and would like to know if anyone would be interested in meeting up one evening between 31st july and 4th august. She is staying in a hotel near edgebaston Birmingham. if anyone can make it send me a pm and i will try to work it out.

Hi - I'm MsSocks' sister. She just sent me a text message asking if it would be possible to change the time from 7:30 to 8? (At least I think that's what she said. Her messages have been extremely abbreviated to the point of being cryptic! )

Today was the opening ceremonies & they started an hour late & ran late all day. My son is competing tomorrow & she wants to make sure she's there to see him.

So if you could let me know so I can get back to her I'd appreciate it!

aha! caught you all! I have one minute left on the hotel computer. It looks like the competition is so far behind that Jesse will not be competing until tomorrow night. What can we do to fix it?? I'm so sorry!! Saturday? Firday?

I do want to meet up, but seeing my nephew is the reason I am here and Piratesmate will kill me if I don't film it. and hey - everyone is new at texting at some point! Liking B'ham lots. Even if I did get a phone call from someone with a British accent asking for me?!? I laughed so hard after - I was so startled!

Please lets try to come up with something. Perhaps Saturday night or Friday night or something!

Hi Deb yes we met up yesterday it was lovely to see Pat she is such a great lady. We didn't get to meet your son but she showed us some pictures of him, Emily was quite disappointed about that as she is almost the same age!!!!! Soz Emily!!

I am finally home - safe and somewhat sound. Somewhere along the line I caught a wicked cold. Must have been when I left the safety of Birmingham. It was such a wonderful visit, you have no idea. A very welcome break from the black hole of the NIA and of my traveling companions. You both were wonderful and I really enjoyed assuring Emily's mum that she was "safe". Of course we will not mention the hen parties we saw or the man of plastic at the teller machine! Why oh why did I not get a photo of that once my jaw came off the floor! I will email you both with a photo of Jess once I get a little better. Had to leave work early today.

So glad we met at the "Leather Spoon"!

Hi Pat glad you arrived home safe. I think i can speak for Emily as well when i say it was a pleasure to meet you we had a lovely time at the "wether spoons!!!" Sorry about the sights but thats Birmingham for you!!! You never know we might be able to meet again preferably us being in your country next time. Keep in touch Deexx
