Biregarten or Akerhus?

Which one would you prefer for an adult couple? I have a reservation for both for 12/5. We are coming to the parks to celebrate Christmas. Is one more Christmasy than the other?

I'd do the Biergarten. Its one of my favorites.

Biergarten, but then I don't want to eat while being constantly interrupted by princesses.

I used to love Akershus before it went princess.

I'd pick Germany, but I'm a big fan of German food.
If I recall correctly they do make the show more Christmassy.
Silent Night in the original German for example, but that was 3 or 4 years ago.

I can't imagine they change the Princess Storybook Character Dining for the holiday but to be fair I really I do not know.

It looks like there may be more variety at Akerhus.

I'd compare the two menus. If you do not like sausage, potatoes and schnitzel then you may not like Germany.

The seating in Germany is large tables of 8, so you sit with others. Since you are a couple on you own you may not want that.

Not sure how you sit at Akerhus, but I think you can get a table for 2.

Sorry I cannot be more helpful, but I have not eaten in Akerhus since it became a character meal. It was good back then.

Look at the menus. Contemplating the seating issue with the german place, and think about other factors like availability. Very hard to get into norway because it is character dinning. Then you will find it easy to make your decision.

Biergarten, the only annoying thing is the seating but I think it's a much better place.

Does Biergarten have seating for groups of 10. I read a PP that said seating in in tables of 8. We are exicted about going with our grand gathering but we would not want to sit at different tables.

Just as a side note, if you chose to eat at Akershus and don't want the princesses to stop by your table, just let your server or the character attendant know. The princesses will be MORE than happy to skip your table and let you eat so they can pay more attention to the kiddies who ARE there to see them.

They do decorate Akershus for Christmas but that's about it. If you are looking for a place with a quiet atmosphere, this won't be it. Not that Biergarten is that quiet either.

Biergarten...we've gone numerous times and love the food and the entertainment. We went to Akerhus for lunch and did not care for the food at all.

Biergarten for sure. It is one of my favorites, just had dinner there this week and that was my third visit. Be sure you see the entertainment they are very good.

If they ever switch from all princess all the time, we would give it a try again.

My husband and I loved the Biergarten! The food is really good and the german beer is even better! It looks like a German village on the inside and the atmosphere is great with the entertainment. I would recommend it for anyone going to Disney!!

Love the Biergarten. Akershus was fine, but we went for the girls to see the princesses. I love the atmosphere and the food at Biergarten (reminds me of past trips to Germany).

Yet another vote for Biergarten. We've been to both and prefer the food there WAY more.
