Bird attack experience

I've witnessed Goose attacks....they are very very violent and scary!
Whenever I walk by one, I get the look, and fear for my life!

A bird pooped on my face yesterday while I was teaching. Does that count as an attack? And no, I am not kidding.

Yes it does count n how did it poop on ur face... Were u teaching outside with ur face facing the sky?

Oddly, no to both. I'm a horseback riding instructor and we have an indoor riding arena with a TON of barn swallows nesting in the rafters. I was in there teaching and not even looking up and BAM! Right on the left cheek.

In France, a woman fell to her death down a cliff, and within 45 minutes vultures had eaten her entire body leaving bones and her does only! Crazy.

I was riding in the front seat of a Chevette when a turkey smacked our windshield. That was interesting.

Mom was so shaken up, she made Dad swap cars when she got to town. The rear view mirror was dangling by a little strip of glue :lmao:

That's hilarious!!! :lmao:

You are not kidding!! My sister and I were walking around a pond and my parents were walking a little bit behind us. Out of no where a goose started charging towards my mom. Cathy and I had turned around to wait on my parents and we saw this goose running towards her. We started laughing and pointing but we were laughing to hard I warn her about the goose until it was to late. The thing bit my mom on her bootie. :lmao: My dad had to chase it away!!!:rotfl2: They think that the bag she was carrying looked like the food bag our something.,:rotfl:

We laughed about it all the way home!

I've been attacked by many birds. Geese, swans, cranes. I don't count the wounds acquired from having to physically restrain birds. The worst was a Moluccan cockatoo that sent me to a plastic surgeon. He bit through my ear and punctured my neck. A close second would be the condor that decided to light on my shoulder.

Oh, one more. We lived in a fairly wooded neighborhood when I was little. One night we were all sitting outside and we heard an owl. It would make its call, and then my dad would make the same noise. We noticed that it seemed to be getting closer. So this went on for a while between the owl and my dad until suddenly the thing flew down over us and up to a tree close by. That owl was huge and it was scary!!

Honey, you need to stay indoors!:faint:

This reminds me of an episode of ER where some guy is in the ER because he got attecked by the turkey that he was trying to liberate (Christmas or thanksgiving episode).

I HATE wild turkeys! The only thing those suckers are good for are dressing my thanksgiving table! :( When DH and I were first married we lived with his mom. She had lived in the country. I was repeatedly chased by a pack of wild turkeys. I don't know why, but they love to scare the living crude out of me! Not a turkey fan anymore!

Y don't u just fight back... Like kick them or something

I have a good bird story. One time I was driving on I-25 south to visit a friend in Las Cruces NM. I was out in the middle of freaking nowhere and this jerk starts tailgating me. In the middle of nowhere. I am doing 80 so I wasn't being a slowpoke. He could have passed me, there was no one else around. But nooooooooooo he had to be a jerk.

So I was cresting a hill and this bird comes out of nowhere. Hits the top of my windshield, bounces off the roof of my car and then hits him in the dead center of his windshield and exploded. Feathers everywhere. I felt sorry for the bird.

I did not feel sorry for the jerk.

:lmao: I'm kind of girly about crazy birds. I shriek and run.

Me too! I guess I passed it onto my son. He's 24. We often have a bird that makes a nest in our neighbor's bush that sits on the divider fence that happens to be right by our trash. So if you throw away trash, you turn around you can see it (2 feet away). My DD14 loves it! She'll get out there to take pictures.

My DS22...won't take the trash out if there's a nest there. I guess one time when he was visiting, he took the trash out and this tiny little thing flew at him and he dropped the trash and went running. My DD14 still teases him to this day. SHE went out, picked up the bag, threw it away for him. It's her favorite story. And DS22 makes it sound like it was a bald eagle flying at him. :lmao: (Don't get me started on the time he got a paper cut while opening Christmas presents and he acted like he lost a finger -- that's DD14's second favorite story about her OLDEST brother.)

:lmao: I can handle a lot, but add a bird in the mix I am gone. I was working at an amusement park one summer and my friend got chased around the stage by a couple of penguins! Proof birds are evil!!!! :lmao:

Anyone been attack by birds before?

I have but I got lucky and escape. Ok I just got food from the fast food stand in epcot in front of the lagoon. I sat down and like 10 seagulls start flying over my head, they came closer and closer and I ran away from there before they get to me... Rotten birds >:(
They just want some fries.
So this is why you are told NOT to feed the animals, birds, squirrels ect. Every time I eat outside at Disney there are people feeding animals right under the sign that says Do Not Feed the Birds.
tigercat

Feeding the birds=survival ;)

My female cockatoo hates my husband. She will jump down and chase him. She will bite him hard enough to hurt, but not break the skin...just a warning. She doesn't want him near me....because I am her person. She loves me. :crazy2:
