Anyone been attack by birds before?

I have but I got lucky and escape. Ok I just got food from the fast food stand in epcot in front of the lagoon. I sat down and like 10 seagulls start flying over my head, they came closer and closer and I ran away from there before they get to me... Rotten birds >:(

No, but I was listening to someone talk about "mute swan attacks". If you see swan with orange beaks stay away, as they can be very dangerous. They attack your face.

That is the type of swan that tried to kill my son when he was 3. My mother was walking with my son and niece to get my mail. The swan was white and blended in with the snow. It attacked them. My mother had neuropathy and had lost the ability to use one of her feet. She got to him as fast as she could but with two 3 year olds it is hard. And there was snow on the ground. The bird was trying to pull him into the pond and drown him. Through his winter coat he had cracked ribs. He arm was so swollen the ER cut it off of him. His nose was broken and it was trying to gouge out his eyes. He looked a mess and to this day (he is 17 today) is leery of birds. And I don't blame him one bit.

Britt got attached last year. We were in back of Magic Kingdom near Winnie and she was walking with a soft serve. Two birds came down and flew right into the ice cream. She dropped the ice cream and screamed. Once it hit the ground 3 other birds joined and had a feast until someone came and cleaned it up.

Needless to say poor DD didn't want another soft serve after that :rotfl:.

We had the same exact thing happen . My DD got a soft serve and the ice cream dropped off the cone in about 10 feet. The CM saw it and replaced the cone. We made it past the cars going into Tommorrow land and a gull came out of nowhere and took out the cone...splat! We were done.

When I was pregnant with my first DD a seagull crapped on my pregnant belly when he swooped low to check out my McDonalds. I was on the beach in a bathing suit.:sad2:

Twice! My Grandmother raised parakeets in her home. Many times she would let the birds fly around her basement. When I was four years old, one of the birds landed on my head and pecked it. My Mom says I became hysterical and it took hours to calm me down. I had no memory of the incident. All I know is that for years I was terrified of any type of bird. When we went to the beach, I would sit in the car because of the seagulls. Anytime I was outside I would have a panic reaction if a bird flew near me. Rapid heart beat, sweaty palms. etc. I didn't really get over it until my early 20's. .

Fast forward to my late forties.....I was watering a planter in my front yard and must have gotten too close to a nest of baby starlings. The mama bird swooped in and pecked my head. I swear I had flashbacks to when I was four! While trying to get away from the bird, I twisted my ankle badly. I was six weeks in a walking cast! I now experience the same dramatic reactions to birds that I did as a kid. If they fly too close to me, I have a panic attack.

Seen it at Disneyland...

Kid goes to grab a duckling crossing main street. gets attacked by mother goose. pretty epic to watch.

this is after being told by security not to bother them...

I was riding in the front seat of a Chevette when a turkey smacked our windshield. That was interesting.

And people think I am crazy when I tell them birds will peck your eyes out. Keep them away from me, thank you very much.

Mom was so shaken up, she made Dad swap cars when she got to town. The rear view mirror was dangling by a little strip of glue :lmao:

Someone I worked with came to the weekly staff meeting (He actually worked in a different town) and on the way he hit a turkey buzzard. He said he pulled over to get it out of his grill and it was still alive. He said as he was trying to get it out, it kept trying to peck at him. He said that he kept saying, I was only to help it and it wouldn't stop pecking at me. :rotfl:

One WDW trip we were walking down in the West End and a bird pooped on my DD's head. She got a little embarrassed because she had a friend with her.

One time we were feeding the squirrels near the UK Pavillion and a duck came up and snagged a french fry out of my hand. (I know my DH & I are bad).

At Flame Tree, 3 birds came at our legs and tired to peck us to get our food. We ran off. My daughter is petrified of birds and needless to say we have not been back to FT.

Birds have pooped on me twice. Once I was on a pilgrimage and had just walked out of St. James church when I felt a plop on my jacket. The other time, my husband and I walked out of St. Andrews Church in Dublin and a bird popped on me again.

It came running down an embankment in an effort to cross the road and got too low on the embankment before taking flight. WHAM! Right dead center in the glass.

Dad was a track coach at the high school. He had to answer a lot of questions about the mangled windshield (and he wasn't even there when it happened) and the feathers jammed everywhere in the car :lmao:

That's hilarious! :lmao:

So this is why you are told NOT to feed the animals, birds, squirrels ect. Every time I eat outside at Disney there are people feeding animals right under the sign that says Do Not Feed the Birds.
