bring your own dress up clothes? We were thinking of doing just the coach package, but of course DD5 will need to have a georgeous dress to wearprincess: . I also have DD3 so the money will add up fast. I'm thinking of just buying them dress up princess dresses before we go or using some of the ones they already have (they have a bunch of really nice ones but naturally  I would like to get special new ones for this occasion). so I was just wondering what you guys have done? Do you just have your DD dressed before entering the Boutique? Also, how long do you usually leave DD in the dress? I just feel like it would be a major pain to have them in those dresses for more than a couple of hours. - Or have any of you done any more modest dresses that are a little bit easier to deal with? Any one have any pictures to share? :) I know there was a thread that had a bunch of pic but I can't seem to find it.....

We bought (and brought) dresses from http://www.littledressupshop.com/. They are very soft - no scratchy parts. We brought the dresses to the BBB and changed in the restroom before our appt. which was around 2pm. Then we went to dinner at 1900 Park Fare and then went to Magic Kingdom. It would depend on your dds - mine can't stand to be in anything scratchy. They loved these dresses and I got a great picture in the carriage outside the GF - I am not sure how to upload though.

I went ahead and booked the castle package, we'll look at the dresses they have and if there isn't a different style than what the girls have we won't get the dresses and they'll only charge us for the crown package. They'll bring dresses when we go as we have the princess breakfast scheduled earlier in the week and then we are doing the boutique the afternoon of MNSSHP. I told them that is their birthday present as it is costly.

My dd has done both the coach package and the castle package. She did the castle package for her bday and since we were planning on getting her a new costume and doing the boutique it just made sense to do them together. Check out disneyshopping.com they have costumes on sale as well as in the outlet. Another place that is recommended on the BBB thread in my sig is mydressuptrunk.com. My recommedation to you is ebay they always have disney store dresses dresses from costume shops that were clearenced out. My next suggestion to you is the middle package is not neccessary(sp?) it only adds a set of press on nails that you can purchase from WoD for like 6.50 and its 2 sets of nails. Not to mention that my dd wanted them off not long after we left. When is your trip planned for you can also get costumes for the disney store if you have one near you after halloween.

We are doing the crown package at the new MK castle location just prior to our CRT lunch. I purchased the Cinderella gown off of mydressuptrunk.com. It is light weight and not scratchy....perfect for the occasion. I will let DD keep it on as long as she wants but will bring clothes for her to change into. Since this will be our first thing of the day, I will just dress her in her gown when we head over to BBB.

Have fun!

unfortunatly, we have to bring our dresses with us. I have heard, and please someone correct me if i'm wrong, that the dresses only go up to size 10. My girls are in a 12 and a 16. I was lucky enough to get a cinderella adult small on disneyoutlet.com for about 50.00. The oldest will be almost 11 by then, so i don't see her wanting to dress up every day. Until November, that dress is staying in the bag, then we can try it on and get it hemmed if needed. The hard part is my dd5, who wears a size 12. She wants to be a princess every day of our trip. i can't believe how hard it is to find costumes between size 12 and adult small. i guess only younger kids and adults dress up according to disney.

We didn't get the dress when my dd went for Easter. She wore her Easter Dress to BBB and then we went to dinner that night. I would say about 3/4 of the girls were in princes gowns but not all of them were the ones purchased as part of the package. So if you don't want to do the package with the costume your DD will not be out of place.

I ordered a cinderella costume on sale from the disney store which we brought with us. I put the costume in a bag and my DD changed in the bathroom right before her appointment time.

disney does on occasion have princess costumes that go up to a size 14 but they are very far and few between. I have not had to look for one personally but according to others they have been seen. I would again check ebay search under each different character you will find more then if you just do a general costume search.

Are the princess dresses that can be bought at the BBB different or more fancy or special than those sold at the Disney stores or at Walmart? Or just more expensive? We are going in July and we have signed up for the castle package with dress and all, but I'm wondering if it is truly worth it. Can I change packages at the last minute?

I think they are a better quailty. plus the ones at walmart are on size fits all where as disney are size specific so they fit better at least on my dd. If you check out the the thread link in my sig you will see plenty of picks of dresses from disney the one that my dd has on in my avtar and my sig I bought off of ebay for 25 dollars w/ shipping.

I am going to wdw with my dd for her 3rd bday this november and i am getting the Castle Packege. i was wondering if that was going to be a wast of money? because she is so little. i was really intressted in the dress and the pictures but of what quality are the pictures. because i have read your ideas and i think i am ust going to buy a cheaper dress besides she is 3 and i know she won't be keeping it on that ong . and now that someone mentioned it she wont even keep on the nails eather so me consern is the pictures. and i want to make sur i understood it correctly does it come with a frame and a princess is in the icture too?

For a 3 year old, IMHO i would buy the coach package and you bring the dress and you can paint her fingernails...If you really wanted to do the middle package you can have them just paint her nails instead of putting the fake nails on, but i think that is a waste of money..again IMO..
My DD's had the middle package last year and my DD (who was 3 1/2) loved it but her nails popped off before she even got off the chair, so they took them off and painted them...(My 4 yo's stayed on for a little while though)

check out he thread link in my signature for photos and more info. They also have photos of what disney's dresses. They are currently not doing fake nails just nail polish. The photos you can do regardless of which package you do the only difference is that you pay for a set of prints w/ the castle package up front. If you don't want prints you don't have to pay for them.

My dd did this on our last trip in may. We did the couch package(least expensive) We did the 9 am appointment and she wore her dress all day long. We did dinner at 1900 parkfare that night. I tried to get her to change but she would not do it. She was dressed like a princess and that was the way it was going to stay. She is 4. I have made another appointment for Dec at the castle, a lot less travel to and from the park. We brought our own dress and she just wore it there. She is already picking out the dress she wants this time. I looked at the dresses that they had there and they were pretty and all but just not worth the money. I got my daughters at the disney store for a lot less, around $25 with coupon and she was dressed differently then most of the other princesses.

My DGD is very tiny, petite. The XXS at WDW are way too large for her. I brought them home and had to take them in, and they are scratchy for a little one (she is just about 3). She loves to play dress up at home, but we are putting her in something much softer when we go back in sept. She is too young to notice the difference in her dress vs another dress. I think as she gets older she will notice the difference....

The dresses at WDW are much more elaborate and better made like another poster said. They have really full skirts to them. The ones at the Disney store are more like a Halloween costume. I bought the light up Minnie Moust dress (the blue one that Minnie wears in the Castle foreground show) and it was $100! The shoes were $27. I had to take the dress in a whole lot, but the lights are unbelievable!

I wish they had a BBB when I was little! And a princess dress!

My dd will be almost 9 and although she wants the make over she thinks she is too old to be a princess which I agree with .Instead she is wearing a lovely dress she already as.The dress "twirls" and really looks good on her,I think she will look like a real princess and wont be worried about feeling silly.

I personally was not impressed with the dresses at Disney for the $$.

We bought our DD a pink sleeping beauty at BJ's or Sams. It is 4 years old and worth ever bit the less then 30.00 we paid.

I have to agree with you. When Disney used to have an auction on ebay, I bought a huge castle shaped trunk that had 4 princess costumes, all with two pieces, and crowns and jewelry, boas etc. It is a beautiful trunk, and it was only $25. My DGD loves it, and her mama allows her to do anything she wants with the costumes. Her expensive ones I got from DTD are hanging up and she can't wear them unless she comes to my house - I don't care what she does with them, as long as she enjoys herself. But she gets just as much pleasure or even more from the 2 piece ones she can put on and off herself. I think it was ME who wanted those costumes - I never had such a thing, and of course my parents couldn't have afforded it...I can't either, but you know how it is....I just love my little princess. I saw the ones on the website that are made of soft fabric for $25-$35 and they are really nice, and washable!

My daughter wore her Sleeping Beauty dress to the shop- she was perfectly happy with that and did not even comment on the dresses available for purchase.
