Hello all! I read that bingo is offered on the cruise. Can anyone tell me where and where. My daughter and I may be interested but would need to know how long to reserve the nursery for. Thanks :)

On Dream and Fantasy it is in the D lounge at various times but usually around 11 or so, late afternoon around 4:00 and evening around 7 or so. *** Disclaimer...please note, this is from my personal experience on the Dream and Fantasy **** Final Jackpot Bingo is played in the Buena Vista theater and is the culmination of the entire cruise bingos running over into one final game. Usually worth thousands depending on how many people played during the cruise. They register players and you pay for the games (and what package you want to purchase) 15 minutes before the actual game is played. For the final game, it is 30 minutes before the game begins.
I would allow at least an hour for total time between registering and playing to plan for nursery time.

It is a lot of fun and they allow the kids to play to as long as there is an adult there to authorize and collect the winnings (if any) on their KTTWC.

Have a good time. :)

How do you pay for bingo, and how much does it cost?
It's based on how many card sets you choose to buy. They have both paper and electronic sets available. Low end is around $20, and high end around $80 or so, from what I remember. There is no cover charge, just a cost for how many cards you buy. You show up about 15 minutes before the game to buy cards during the pre-sales.

Charged to your room, or you pay cash??

Thats awesome! Thanks so much for the info :)

My DD and I had fun on our earlier cruises doing this a couple of times. But it got pricey for us and ate into our onboard budget, so we stopped doing it (we never did win anything either).

But you definitely can't win, if you don't play. :)

True -- just like the lottery. But spending $80 twice for the excitement of playing is okay, but didn't interest us on future cruises (just like on other lines we never go into the casino). They also give away door prizes which could be fun to win.

We liked Bingo- a little bit of gambling in a fun & wholesome group setting. We won $60 and a spa treatment during our Magic cruise. But we enjoyed the games even when we didn't win anything. We'll budget for Bingo for every cruise from now on.

We played 2 times and at 160.00 we realized that it went by too quickly and instead on future cruises decided to use that money at the bar or on souvenirs :)

We just came back from a 4-night cruise on the Dream, and this time around all bingo sessions were held in Evolution (previous cruises, bingo sessions have been in the Buena Vista Theatre). At the beginning of the cruise, it was a good space, but by the time you got to the big bonus/jackpot rounds, it was tight for space. :( It can get expensive. Even though it's held in Evolution, children are allowed to go in, and even play. However, an adult must be present and only an adult can collect the winnings.

I think this time around, we went to every session. We don't drink, so spent our money here instead. We would buy one combination and share between three people. There's like four different combinations for electronic cards/paper card combos, and you can add an additional paper card for $10, although that is not advertised. We had several sessions where a password from the previous session would get you a bonus card for different rounds. I think most sessions lasted about 30-45mins, but they can be longer if no one is getting the required selection! There is an additional 15mins pre-sales time to factor into your timings, and that becomes a 30-min pre-sale for the final day/big jackpot sessions.
