I'm doing most of the planning for my mother/daughter trip next month to Disneyland (April 22-25). She wants to see Billy Hill and the Hillbillies at the Golden Horseshoe but I don't really understand the concept, largely because of conflicting information that I've found.

My current understanding is that it's a CS place that has a stage show, and you don't need reservations, you just need to get there about 30 minutes early or so to get food and a seat before the show starts. Is this understanding correct?

I see there are about 5 shows a day. Are they all the same? And is the show the same on all days of the week? I've heard that there are different performers on different days and that Wednesdays and Thursdays are not good days to see the show. Is this true?

Anything else I should know about this place?

Help! Thanks.

there are different groups, yes. and definite groupies.

you don't need to eat there actually. you're free to just find a spot and watch

You've pretty much got it. Although the food is limited, basically chicken strips, fries, mozarella sticks. You can however grab something from one of the other CS places and bring it in. We like to get Bengal Barbecue.

The shows are pretty much the same, but based on the crowd and the mood of the Billies, the jokes may vary a bit. I know I've seen different Billies, but don't know if I've seen the favorite group that folks talk about. But every show I've seen has been funny. Even DS 12 enjoys it.

Also, look for the hidden Mickey on (or near) the stage.....but you'll have to be very close to the stage to see it.

I wouldn't worry too much about the different days and the different shows. The show is pretty funny, and if you haven't seen it, you won't have other shows to compare it to. Some people are huge fans and have seen all the shows several times, so they definately have their favorites.

I've dropped in and sat in the back a few times, and in every show I've gone to, the audiences has been thoroughly entertained. :sunny:

IMO, the best shows are ones with Kirk Wall in them. He performs with two different teams and will be there Sat-Wed.

Have fun. It's a great show!

I love the Billies!! My kids love the Billies!! My DBF loves the Billies!! Even my BFF and her DBF loved the Billies when we went with them. LOL Go, enjoy and relax!! Grab something to eat and a table, they have seats downstairs and up. It's tons of fun!!

My daughter and I went to every performance one day. They were all a bit different. A different song here and there, and the ad libbing obviously was different each time too. They are all excellent musicians no matter which group you happen to catch.
