I remember seeing a couple of threads before we left this last time asking if women could wear bikini tops with shorts in the parks. The answers they got were all definite no's. However, last week we saw several women (young and old) walking around wearing bikini tops. We also saw several young girls wearing nothing but one piece bathing suits. What's up with that?

I saw some too just this past June. But I decided not to worry about it and be glad that they at least had something on. I hate to think of what might be next.

Same reason why you see people walking around smoking, and kids with wheely shoes, and people pulling rolling bags behind them --- because Disney chooses not to enforce their rules.

You never know just WHO you might see breaking the rules wearing a bikini top!!

:confused3 i guess it is up to disney to enforce the dress code.

speaking from expereince, Disney could ask them to put a tshirt on
and they say sorry, didn't know...then comply...the cast member walks away and a minute later they take the tshirt off again..
and the next cast member or security has no idea they've already been told.
(what's disney supposed to do? follow them around all day?)

sometimes..people who don't care enough to follow the rules just won't
If your bothered by it, try and forget it and just enjoy your trip.

They may or may not inforce the rules while they are walking around in the parks but they do inforce them when they are going on the rides. I had to tell a woman to put on a shirt the other day over her bikini top or she couldnt ride.

My guess would be that she hadn't passed by the right (strict) CM yet! I alsowould be willing to bet that at some point later in that day, she was asked to put a shirt on.

I file stuff like that under "good for my self esteem."

For example, I once freaked about going to the water parks early in the season. But then I got there and realized that there were plenty of people bigger than me, or paler than me or saggier than me, or in real denial about what kind of swimsuit they could wear. I felt so good that day.

So its a little judgey and superficial, but hey if seeing someone low class enough to wander around an amusement park in their bikini makes me feel less conspicious with a ketchup stain on my white t-shirt, well a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

Its to beat the heat and attract attention to themselves, depending on the person. Dont let it bother you people dress and act how they want to despite its affect towards others. Enjoy yourself, enjoy your trip, and ignore it.

Good for you.:thumbsup2

This thread has brought back a vivid memory of walking around MK in 1976 or 1977 with my family. We saw a man walking around in Daisy Dukes, a bikini top, and platform heels. :confused3 :rotfl:

I asked a security guard and he said that now that it is called a "Resort" they weren't enforcing it as much. I don't want to see people in their bathing suits. My mom and dad went to DL in 1965 for a date. DL wouldn't let me dad in cuz his hair touched his collar. And I've seen the pics of his hair, it would've only been about 1/2 an inch worth.
I went to GradNight at DL in 1987 and I had to wear a dress and heels to go. I remember this cuz we had to run home and change or they wouldn't let us on the bus.
Times have changed and maybe not for the better, but Disney parks are still the best Family parks on the planet!

Proving once again that there is nothing less accurate than info from a CM, whom you have chosen at random.

;)

There are plenty of CM's who DO know their stuff, but the chance of you happening upon one of those, at random, is very slim.

I've been known to wear workout gear baring my full belly in the summer but a bikini top might be a bit much. One little girl thought I was genie. :)

Let's be grateful they're wearing something.
