when staying at okw, are you allowed to bring your own bikes from home? and can you ride bikes on the path to dtd?

We see folks with bikes all the time at OKW, but be very careful of those who are walking.

yes you can have your own bike.

it only the boats that WDW insist you use their.

I presume you mean to bike around OKW. I don't think I'd venture out of OKW on a bike. WDW looks like a pretty dangerous place to bike to me -- and I bike in Miami! No bike paths and way too many people who don't know where they are going and not paying attention to little details like bicyclists and pedestrians.

Can't help you with the path between OKW and DTD.

Diane's caution about pedestrians is a good one. Biking on sidewalks is not illegal in Florida, but the burden is on the bicyclist to avoid pedestrians. You'll probably be safer in the street, anyway.

Helmets are required by law for all bicyclists under the age of 16. After 16, it's one of those pesky "natural selection" decisions.
