I did not PM you as this may be useful to other posters but I checked out the UK section of the Universal Studios site just to be sure about this pass - you can cvertainly buy it on-line and the only time limit I see is for an extra $10 discount off the regular bonus pass price so you should be able to leave it for a little while if you don't want to order them yet.

Are there any restrictions on them? We're not going until next July so could we buy them now?

I have looked at the information carefully and don't see any indication that they have to be used by a certain date - in fact, I found this statement: "Unless the tickets are date specific, unused tickets do not expire. Upon first use, specific ticket expiration conditions apply".

So I don't see any reason why you shouldn't buy them now
