ok - being on a new budget -- trying to save some money by not going to the mall but shopping online for things we need. Easier to compare prices etc.

What's your biggest pet peeve at online shopping sites?

I'll start:
some of these sites it takes too long to check out -- you have to create an account if you don't have one etc. I like the sites where you can check out a s a guest!

and sometimes the receipts that print are too many pages.

My two biggest peeves:

1) Same as yours OP....having to create an account :headache:

2) Finding out later on that an item was "out of stock". Well then why was I able to click on it & purchase it if you didn't have any left for me to buy? Disneyshopping.com has done this to me several times.

Too many places do not ship to Canada, or charge outrageous shipping fees to do so :sad2:

Online shopping pet peeves:

* paying shipping!!

* cumbersome sites that take forever to navigate - disneyshopping.com is a great example: I don't even bother going there anymore!

*Offering good discounts and then $20 to ship the item.
*Ordering a collar for my dog that weighs about an ounce (and costs less than $10) and paying $10 to ship it to me :confused3

Hard to find contact information and/or no phone number manned by a live person. Sometimes I need to talk to someone right. now.

sorry- I don't have any peeves so far- there are so many great deals shopping online, and so many codes for cashback, free ship,etc- that I prefer to buy online if I can every time! in one month,I made over $20 cashback from Bing,if Bing doesn't sponsor it,then I have mypoints or ebates for even cheaper bottom line- it takes maybe 2 minutes to register,so quick and easy!

Here's a tip that's both economically and ecologically friendly - download a program called Primo pdf. This is a free program, it will ask you if you want a better version but really you won't need it. Primo pdf will install a driver onto your computer that allows you to print documents directly into a pdf file. You just select primopdf as your target printer when you go to print the receipt. I save all the pdf files in the My Documents file on my computer and delete them every six months or so unless I need them for a warranty.

Because it's a pdf file all you have to do is open up the file and print it out if you find you need a hard copy for some reason.

Another good thing, if for some reason you need to send a copy of your receipt to the company you can simply attach the pdf file to your e-mail.

I print all my internet receipts this way. Saves paper, toner, clutter and money.:thumbsup2

My biggest pet peeve, is like yours the need for all those accounts and all those crazy passwords I have to keep track of.:headache:

High shipping fees

Stores that have a B&M location but will not accept returns from online in the store. Old Navy only carries plus size online but if I don't like something I have to pay to ship it back. Sometimes I don't order something since I am not sure about fit and I don't want to pay to ship it back. I would buy much more if I had the option to return to the store.

I want to know who the company is that is shipping the package to me. If it is UPS or FedEx, I have to have it sent to work, if it is USPS or some service going through the post office I can have it shipped home.

Thank you! I had no idea this even was an option.

I hate when you need to fill out your name and add BEFORE the screen pops up to tell you the shipping price. Usually you can still cancel at this step, but I just wasted time, registered, gave you my email add and home add, but NOW figured out you want $15 to ship a 2 oz item. Yeah, right.

shipping cost is my biggest complaint...a lot of the places I shop online only offer free shipping on orders over $75 or more and I hardly ever need to order that much (especially if they are having a great sale or clearance). I get a great deal on clothes and then have to end up spending $15-20 to get is shipped..it is ridiculous.

I love it. I first got this program at work.

My only pet peeve is I can't set it as mydefault printer as coupon programs like coupons.com and smartsource won't print to it. So I can't print to the pdf file and save the coupon to be printed out later instead of wasting ink and toner for a coupon I might use. I guess they figure I might print out 100 copies of the coupon if I could print to a pdf file, so I can kind of see their reasoning.

I hate outrageous shipping charges. They should just build shippinginto the cost of their products so I know the "real" cost. I rarely buy anything online unless I have some kind of discount/free shipping offer. Somehow, that shipping charge just puts me over the edge!

I return my online orders to the Old Navy store all of the time. Does your local ON not do this? That's really weird, in my opinion! And I agree, I liked it better when their plus size was in the store. Their pants fit me crazy big (and yes, I measure myself!). I just bought some pants & tees 3 weeks, all the same size, the pants are too big and the tees are too small (and I am definitely bigger down below, hahaha!). Boo, would rather try them on in the store. :-(

Me too! I'm great at finding discount/free shipping codes and use cash back websites but if shipping isn't free or is outrageous, I'm not buying. That doesn't happen often though. I LOVE online shopping! :lovestruc

Plus sizes can not be returned to the store. It is listed on the website and the receipt.

I am going to a Bat Mizvah and ordered a glass Mezuzah. It is 5" long and about less than 1" wide. $10.95 shipping!! pirate:
